9 postssome nice work there.
although i’ve never tried it myselfI am a somewhat photographer, I love long exposures. Though I forgot my flickr account password this is a small chunk of what I done, very basic stuff but its not a passion its just a hobby. http://www.flickr.com/photos/53138145@N03/
I’ve participated in a cool light paintings though!
Also what do you use for lights? You got some wicked colors in some, like your spheres and the shipping create. ALSO really cool idea with the levitating pictures!i myself am heavily into macro photography.
the tiny world we all ignore fascinates me.I haven’t seen much creativity shots from macro yet. aside from water drops and some nature. I find it’s a very limited area in photograpghy, am I wrong?
Awesome pictures! I just recently did a couple of lightpainting photos for my 52 Weeks Project. Check it out that set:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/stephaniekphotography@kirk… it depends on the subject, like any photography
it is mostly nature stuff i do, insects, spiders and the like which are more natural history than creative. but you can get quite creative with depth of field.
I like to do inflight shots of bees and hoverflies so at least it has some action. its a challenge to get right as the low dof gives you a very small area to catch the flight.
yeah i’ve done the obligatory water drop shots also but i also like to do cross polarization images which can be quite creative. What is light painting, and how do you do it? What kind of things do you need?
@alan i suppose, it really is all about getting creative.
@TheSkaFish It’s a photgrapghy trick, you take a long picture (for example 30 seconds). So you take a 30 second long picture and when you take that picture you use flash lights to draw designs and whatnot. It’s pretty great.
All you need is a DSLR camera and maybe a tripod. It’s fun.
IF you have a dslr,It’s all setting on the manual settings. Maybe 30″, F9.0,ISO 200 and hold the camera steady!
