That thread “your deepest insecurities” is great and all, it’s amazing how we can all come together and share things that are so personal to people we have never met.
But still, it’s a downer thread! We need an upper thread! So what are some things that you think are awesome about yourself? What are things that you are proud of about yourself?
Sure, this may be “fuelling the ego”, but its an important part of ourselves that we must recognize. Learn our strengths and weaknesses.
I’ll start by saying that I have a kick ass physique. Lean, tall and strong. Gymnasts body haha. For all those that say gymnasts just prance around in leotards, they ain’t seen the magic of body weight exercises :D

40 postsTruth be told, I’m unsure of my strengths… I’ve been told I’m good at writing, helping people with personal problems… Aaand that’s about it :P
i think im a funny guy, and when I get into my zone I have an insane amount of confidence: unfortunately neither of them can be summoned at will.
so I just go along hoping for a good day.
good for you Brian, gymnastics is sick. It’s funny, it’s probably just as hard to think of things you are good at and brag about them as it is to think of things you are bad at and admit them…
Mike, you should get on that and find your strengths! They’re there, just gotta find them!
Praneeth, just keep practicing!Have you any ideas as to how to figure out what I’m good at? Getting out into the world and trying new things is challenging without a job, car or feeling disassociation towards the people around me (working on all of that, but ye, heh)
And I like your comparison there :PWell, what do you do in your free time? What have you done growing up? What have you done in the past? What are hobbies of yours?
And don’t say nothing, that’s a bullshit answer. There’s always something.I’m up to my balls in free time at the moment, got a month before I start what we call “polytech” over here (which is like, pre-university) and I spend most of my time reading various things (mainly science-based books), walking around my city randomly, writing and watching movies and stuff online… Hobbies include lucid dreaming, meditation, and everything I mentioned before…
My past was wasted mainly on computer games haha but I’ve learnt that they’re a complete waste of time and eradicated that from my life :P Iunno. I’ve been trying to exercise but it’s been hard trying to keep to a schedule, I’m quite over-weight. I quit smoking at the start of the year and feel a lot better for it, but ye. I like hanging out with friends but since deleting Facebook, haven’t really kept in touch with many of them. Going to a concert soon – System of a Down – excited for that!
Haha, that pretty sums up my life actually, so there you go :D sorry if I got a bit off-topic with your question but the extra details may help ayShould I try something new? I help my Mum with cooking and gardening, is that something good to continue to pursue?
Everything is good to pursue! You say you quit smoking, that means that you are good at breaking ingrained habits. I’m sure that was a hard time in your life, and now you’re on the other side of it smiling and better off!
You must have been good at some computer games… I’m pretty good at League of Legends myself :P
Lucid dreaming is something you are good at, not many people can do that!I’m highly functional timeless reader and forgetter.
my greatest trait is that i don’t give up
my sincerity.
My greatest trait is that I continually keep getting better, and that I won’t tolerate anything but my very best effort/performance.
I noticed the same thing about the insecurities post, its good to create a positive tread to compliment it. I think this one is a little bit harder.
I’m very good at noticing other peoples strengths and I also like to think that I am a very passionate person and have a strong will.
Bryan how did you start gymnastics by the way? Its seems like a really fun sport http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNvJy0zoXOYThe ability to laugh at myself.
Compassionate.
Honest.
