Life Philosophy

I think life is mainly about two things: learning/ growing as a person, and your relationships with people. We ought to spend our time wisely, have an eager curiosity and keep a positive attitude. New experiences are what push us to evolve ourselves so we should keep an open eye out for them and jump at opportunities more often. Talking to myriad people is a good idea because being introduced to different perspectives helps us gain a better understanding of this world. Live in and cherish the moment but also look ahead and set goals so that you can accomplish your dreams, even the ones that seem far out of reach right now. Reflection is just as important as action, we ought to work at healthily incorporating both into our everyday lives. Always remember, but never regret because you can't change the past and it is part of who you are. Treat others with respect and kindness, even when they do not sit right with you. With every person you come across try to be a positive part of their life, whether it's for seconds or years try to help steer them in the right direction. This can be anything from offering advice to letting cars in when there's traffic, from being interested in your coworker's story to smiling at a kid who you make eye contact with. Appreciate the little things and contemplate the big things. Listen to the wisdom of those older than you and try to help guide those younger than you. As time flies by make the effort to stay in touch with and hang out with those you care about. Be honest in as many ways as you can and just be yourself, especially with friends. I'm not sure if all this is really a "philosophy" but it's how I try to live and is the general advice I would have for anyone looking for some. Also I found out the hard way (TWO near death experiences) that both God and the Devil are real and want to help steer our lives.
"You don't find yourself, you create yourself."

I try not to use it much because there seems to be so much meaningless blather, banter, bitching, bragging and bullshit. But it is hard to disconnect because I am curious what ppl are up to and care about most all of my contacts on there. Don't add ppl I haven't met though. I prefer twitter and if you haven't given that cite an honest shot then I suggest you do

Music

Where to begin… I have such a large library now with soo many artists that I adore, and it seems every week or two I'm introduced to a new one or stumble across one while listening to something on 8tracks; which is a great website for music, you really ought to check it out. Most people love music and listen to a lot of different stuff and I am no different. Here are my favorite artists:
The Beatles, The Who, Al Green, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Beck, Disturbed, Billy Talent, Eminem, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, Immortal Technique, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Weezer, Queen, The Doobie Brothers, Beethoven (seriously, and I highly recommend devoting a few hours to him sometime, one night while tripping on shrooms me and a friend sat there soaking it in and talking about it for a good portion of the night and ever since I've just loved most of his stuff), Pink Floyd, ZZ Top, Elvis, Rush, Van Halen, David Bowie, Judas Priest, Bon Jovi, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Phil Collins, Tool, System Of A Down, Korn, The Offspring, The Police, Bob Marley, Fleetwood Mac, Def Leppard, Kimbra, Genesis and Bruce Springsteen. I also like to listen to a lot of electronic music, particularly trap and hardstyle, but I do not really have any "favorite" artists or djs where I like most of their stuff. Usually I just listen to mixed playlists and such so it's more of a broad appreciation and interest rather than specific artists like with other genres of music.
