When early explorers first set out West across the Atlantic, most people thought the world was flat. Most people thought if you sailed far enough West, you would drop off a plane into nothing. Those vessels sailing out into the unknown, they weren't carrying noblemen or aristocrats, artists or merchants. They were crewed by people living on the edge of life: the madmen, orphans, ex-convicts, outcasts like myself.
In a society where the scarcity concept rules our self perception, success is valued through a system of competition. Personal success is made to be something extraordinary, uncommon and unreachable. You're being told you're not complete without other factors besides just yourself. And so we place power outside of ourselves. Whilst in reality it couldn't be easier - all you have to do is exactly what you want to do and not let anything or anyone stop you. Be who you are. It's that simple. By letting go of society's expectations, you are free to live your own legend. Be your own hero.
Sometime I just want to Explode. Not in the sense of dying, but more to that of creating. Explode, perhaps, like a star. Breaking my own barrier and scattering my entire being, in every direction, creating something beautiful and inspirational, and perhaps something much much more wonderful than i already was!
