Mine, Body, and Soul
These lines are not for a weak tone of mind
Nor a quick gliding of the eyes.
In this mine is unknown light
With no one to lead the way.
Cleaving through the slippery sheets of the calm air
By the chest of your shirt, shoetips drag
With the force of nature you understand as little as
The enormity of the silent voice reading this.
You have been pulled here.
“There wasn’t even an opening in this mountainside when I arrived,”
But inside strangely you stand quivering at the feet of infinity.
No matter what these itching walls whisper, cry, scream, or laugh
The echoes in this black hole tunnel will helplessly rattle
The cages you keep yourself locked up within
Until they’ve no move than to loosen and unhinge.
With each heel-to-toe reality is but a rug being pulled out from under,
Jaunty and swirling with unstable hues,
Growing arms to tear you down by brittle ankles.
A weightless sensation overtakes any fears
As your body is claimed by their grasps,
Rising into singularity with the universe
This fluid disconnection of self quenches the crackling dry mouth of the soul.
It is in this seemingly eternal moment of thought,
When consciousness is suspended with no measurement of time,
Free to create on a whim,
No longer constrained by boundaries,
There is a sliver of zen.
The fault line of your ego is found in this place.
It has been discovered crumbling,
Unmasking the true patterns of your striation
Enlightened by a single golden stratum.
If we didn't have computers and I told you there was wireless internet in the room, you'd think I was insane. But you get a computer and see there is wireless internet because it shows up on your screen, its reality. So we see about 0.00018% of the electromagnetic spectrum frequencies that exist, but the rest is real and found fact, for scientists have told us this much, although we don't see it with our own eyes. So don't be so quick to disregard information on the reasoning that you can't see physical proof of its being, almost 100% of your reality is regarded as fact, although you're unable to manifest it through your known senses. Faith and intuition are a big part of life. Don't believe the world is flat because it's what's said to be true.
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
---I ended up sitting on the floor in a room so unfamiliar to myself. The walls plain, and a lone window allow the brightest light to illuminate the space. Before me sat seven older people, all of which seemed to have been infected with a poison of some sort yet it was more like a disease; they were all dying though I was not. Their faces blue, dirty, and broken. One man, grey haired, began to sob stating, 'I do not wish to die. I love to live! Oh what despair!' The light that had once shown through the window had faded, the room turned over to an ominous and dark overtone. He bowed his head before me as I replied, 'To be content to live, is to be content to die. You know you have died before, my friend.' I turned around to find myself sitting before every single one of my closest friends, all of their heads bowed. 'This disease is the beginning of the apocalypse, the truth will be revealed.' Each one nodded in agreement, accepting their fate, and prepared to fight it. I walked out of the room to find myself with a friend with big guns pointed at a large church. 'Are you ready to watch it fall?' I asked him. 'No, let it wait til' tomorrow, it'll burn.
