"Security is mostly superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable."

"Happiness does not come from a state, but from a change of state. That it is so is illustrated by the total failure of every writer to describe a satisfactory paradise, whether in heaven or on earth. The tedium of eternity has almost become a joke, and the description of the earthly utopias are no better. Most of them fail to recognize that the human mind cannot hold any emotion for long at an even intensity, but that it always degenerates into something much more tepid... But it is not simply a change of state that makes for happiness; there must be something unexpected about it."

"---I ended up sitting on the floor in a room so unfamiliar to myself. The walls plain, and a lone window allow the brightest light to illuminate the space. Before me sat seven older people, all of which seemed to have been infected with a poison of some sort yet it was more like a disease; they were all dying though I was not. Their faces blue, dirty, and broken. One man, grey haired, began to sob stating, 'I do not wish to die. I love to live! Oh what despair!' The light that had once shown through the window had faded, the room turned over to an ominous and dark overtone. He bowed his head before me as I replied, 'To be content to live, is to be content to die. You know you have died before, my friend.' I turned around to find myself sitting before every single one of my closest friends, all of their heads bowed. 'This disease is the beginning of the apocalypse, the truth will be revealed.' Each one nodded in agreement, accepting their fate, and prepared to fight it. I walked out of the room to find myself with a friend with big guns pointed at a large church. 'Are you ready to watch it fall?' I asked him. 'No, let it wait til' tomorrow, it'll burn."

Talked my head off
Worked my tail off
Cried my eyes out
Walked my feet off
Sang my heart out
So you see,
There's really not much left of me."

"Can you feel it?

It`s the excitement of your mind
The old being left behind
And the new blowing your mind

It`s the universe in your eyes
The spirit realizing old lies
The nature expanding inside
And the seeds scattered outside"
