All the things that can enlighten you to the truth are demonized
@tigerturban, I’ve encountered the “dark forces” as well, but that doesn’t mean demons are real. There are psychological explanations for most of it, which make much more sense than spirit stuff.
@tine, Religion is not built upon pure concepts, not religion as we know it at least. These are corrupt from the foundation. Positive change has a harder time coming through among religious people, because of their indoctrination and fear of the unknown. Religion is extremely close-minded.
The classic “harvester of souls” is religion, religion is nothing but a way to exploit people.
@manimal, Meh! I don’t really expect anyone to take my word for it either. “Truth is your Own Experience” after all. I’m just saying your Big Revelations about What It All Really Means should also be taken as such as well? Obviously.
… before I said anything I should have had you clarify, did you mean man-made or supernatural?
@manimal, Christians are taught to feed the sick, cure the ill, and love their spouses and children dearly. oooooooo! Evillllll! HAR! Me so funny…
@manimal, First of all great post.
just one thing, i was raised a catholic but do not practice any religion now and I noticed something you might be misunderstanding:
“In fact, it is said many times in the bible that you shall not worship, not to idols, not in churches, not at all… ….
The crucifix is supposed to symbolize that jesus died for us all to save us, so it’s not a symbol of death but a symbol of ones love to human kind…
Great post again, very informative.
hahaaa! (Oh i know the old geezer was just fucin around ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BMgX1E5ij4
Freemason admits he worships Lucifer!
@tine, whose to say that “Super Nature” and logic and science can’t co-exist. Psi-Phenomenon, for example, have pretty much been accepted my mainstream science as plausible if not quite “provable” yet?
“fear of the unknown.”
For instance, chicken or the egg, the religion caused the ignorance and fear, OR, the populace is ignorant and fearful and religion is just one of many that attracts these people?
Can you elaborate bud?
I mean, you’re assuming here, I think this election especially has shown just how ignorant and fearful the general populace is
@fpalazuelos1, I know what it’s supposed to mean, that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a depiction of someone dying a painful death.
@tigerturban, It’s not some revelation of mine, it’s nothing new and there’s nothing me about it. Sounds to me like you’re just trying to come up with reasons to not take things to heart.
@manimal, Elion!! You son of a thief! you address omnipotence. tread carefully.
@manimal, I was actually comparing Christianity’s teachings ase compared to other world religions, my boy.
@tine, First of all, science has established -pretty much beyond a doubt- that the brain can always adapt and grow smarter. This should be no news.
Oh, and please explain to me how “I will smite you! You will burn in torment and agony forever. You are all to be punished for what some woman did in the beginning of time. Et fucking cetera” is a positive direction to manipulate people’s minds.
And those people 180d, I think they’re just tragic, the perfect showcase scenario of people getting tricked and swept up by some cult when they’re at their weakest.
If you think it’s about ideas, you’re kind of mistaken. And that thing about ideas evolving and revealing previous ignorance, that’s obviously the opposite of how religions work. They just get dumber and dumber by the minute haha.
Of course religion didn’t create ignorance and fear, but they do reinforce it.
This is getting kinda off topic though. Let’s keep it together, shall we?
@tine, are you and Erigorn brother and sister??
@manimal, Are you an alien?
@manimal, Thanks a lot for the post, it’s very encouraging to read this kind of stuff. Once again thank you :)
“Religion is stupid and wrong”
I also know someone not in prison, who uses religion (the Bible/Christianity, specifically) as a moral compass to keep him out of trouble/prison.
Your mind seems to operate like a shutter banging in the wind. It’s a shame, you’re so informative otherwise.
@spaceghost, Well I’m not an Englishman in New York.
@orange, I’m glad you like it.
@mimic, And yours seems to operate like that egg in the “your brain on drugs” PSA
This is interesting, but I’m wondering what your sources were. This seems like the kind of thing that would take large amounts of research, and I’m honestly rather skeptical and would like to know where you got this information.
“And yours seems to operate like that egg in the “your brain on drugs” PSA”
Ha, I don’t know what that is, but it sounds too funny to ruin by looking up.
Have you ever seen Magnolia? Do you look like Tom Cruise?
@manimal, Thanks for the book recommendations dude, they’re really enlightening, I’m on the Kybolion pdf, hermetics teachings right now about halfway through. I feel like I’ve been leading up to this point but you have been a huge help on my journey.
@vulpes, Check the book list
@deej, Great to hear that, I’m glad you found this useful.
@manimal, i like this, thank you!
