Every time I get on here I see the same faces posting. Is this online community really that small or is there some sort of \”meant to happen\” happening????

Posting around here is like a tidal wave.

And there are several types of posters, in which over time you will notice the pattern. You have the folks here that have been around since the beginning (this sounds like a Star Wars intro) that still stick around to harass the threads. Then you get the blog posters, the ones who follow the blogs and converse strictly there (have you ever watched one of those conversations escalate? Epic shit). Aside from them, you get the random waves of new folks who will stick around and post for several months, and then disperse.

It’s always a pattern, especially when seasons change you’ll notice a spike in different posters.

@alexa, Damn those fickle HEthens…

@cbrock, Yeah, there usually is a group that keeps posting, everyday, on every thread. Sometimes sarcastically and mockingly, sometimes they are serious. That group too, fluctuates as months pass….

I see new faces constantly.
3 out of 4 posters in this thread look new to me *shrug*

Well, a lot of people join but never use the discussion page. Or they read, but never post. (Why do these people even sign up?)

Others join, hang around for a while and then leave.

There are also people who only post occasionally, usually to get help with some problem, most of the time it has already been discussed 100 times before.

Normal users drop in a few times a week/month, or a short while every day, just like on every other internet community.

Then there are the people who post all the time because they have no fucking life.

And last, but not least, the rare people who like to share their wisdom on a wide range of topics.

There are also those who only post when something interests them.

God is a comedian, satirist, and a fetish monger.

Based on what I said about seeing the same faces and applying that to real life: if something recurs in your OWN life more than twice, or maybe just twice, you should chase after an answer to the repetition.

@alexa, Well every fetish there ever was/is. Human desire is God’s desire.

We just intimidate noobs. All there is to it.
Don’t get me wrong, I love noobs.
They have valuable insight.
Let’s try not to intimidate noobs.
The world needs a more noob mindset.
We’re all noobs.
Except Manimal.
He’s level 85.

Or there are people like myself, who get on every night and read the threads I’m interested in, and post sometimes (I used to be more invested in posting but thought that I needed to find myself before I could guide others). I honestly love HE and the things I’ve seen on here lead me to believe bigger things are possible. But I am not HEfamouz.

I’m constantly on reading things, at least once a day. But for the most part I don’t have much to add that other people haven’t so I don’t post much, instead I just lurk and occasionally learn something new.
