Are we more than our minds?
And so it is, that absolute control over your thoughts is the most praised manifestation of enlightenment. Liberating your soul has a whole lot to do with separating yourself from the condemnation of your mind. But, if its truly possible to be liberated from mental slavery, and thus become the observer of not only reality, but observer of your very own thoughts.. Then who is observing?

It isn’t observing, it’s more like choiceless awareness. The mind is just one organ of the body. The true being is the entire body; bringing consciousness into it whereas before it was congested in the mind gets you in touch with your source. What that source is, I do not know exactly. Could be as simple as raising the body’s vibrational level so it is more conducive to bio-electricity generated within the body.
@danfontaine, the mind is your body. It controls everything your body does. If your leg is cut off and someone tells you that it will be all right. You’re going to survive this. You’d be more likely to survive. Where as if someone is screaming that your leg is completely severed and you’re gushing blood. You will go into shock because your mind realizes the situation and shuts down.
(What i’ve been led to believe through research and such.)
Just felt like throwing this out there. Knowledge I rarely get the chance to use. haha
@whereismywanderingmind, Yes definitely, science is just discovering how synergized our brain is with the rest of our body. While it is arguably our best tool, it is not the center of our being. Belief in the mind as center will lead to unhealthy beliefs.
The heart is a separate entity from the brain, as is the liver, the stomach, the pineal gland, etc. All this stuff is more real than the world of your mind’s idea of external reality. The mind has mutated into a leak it seems.
