How many people enjoy plumper women as opposed to thinner women? I personally like chubby women more.

@lolivia, In my spare time I would consider myself to be an aspiring nutritionist/health nut. Consequently, thinner women appeal to me more from a biological standpoint of increased health and longevity. Kind of the basis of what my physical attraction builds off of. Though, there are certainly cases in which I would enjoy a chubby woman over a thinner. In terms of appearance, often a chubbier look suits one person more so than a thinner look would.

@lolivia, I’m more of a fit-body kind of guy, but I hate guys who will make fun of women who are bigger and make it look like their size somehow makes them less valuable as an individual.

@lolivia, I don’t like fat people. It shows a lack of respect for one’s body.

But there are a few chubby girls that are cute… They’d be way cuter if they weren’t chubby though.

@lolivia, somewhere in between I’d say. I definitely like curvy girls, someone who seems like they’d be soft and warm and overall cuddly, I don’t really mind a wee bit of extra weight but I am certainly not into obesity. I can’t really say too much about attraction without considering a personality as well though, looks only go so far on their own. I wouldn’t be opposed to dating a thinner girl who has a personality I enjoy being with.

I think BBW’s are like junk food. It may look good and taste good, but you feel gross afterwards because you know it’s super unhealthy.

The biggest issue with BBW’s is that I’m always wondering why they got fat and why they stay fat. Low self-esteem, unbalanced emotions, depression, anxiety, and pure laziness all have strong correlation with obesity. Those things aren’t typically considered attractive personality traits. Even if obesity is not a result of such issues, it can often cause them.

Also, if you’re looking for a long-term partner, why would you want somebody who you know is going to have a bunch of nerve racking and expensive medical issues a few years down the road?

Also, if you date a BBW and you like to eat healthy, they’re always going to be conscious of the fact that they eat a lot more crap than you. It’s gonna make them feel like a fat-ass and they’re probably going to worry about being judged by you. That will add to their insecurity and then they either won’t open up to you all the way or they will be super clingy because they’re afraid of losing you. Happens often, though obviously not all the time.

If none of those things were factors, I’d prefer BBW’s, provided that are actually beautiful, not just a big blob. Most women gain weight and start to look gross, but a solid 10% actually look sexier with more weight. Just my opinions.

So I guess a simple answer would be… No, I would not be temped to date a BBW. Yes, I would be temped to hook up with a BBW.

How fat do you have to be to qualify as a BBW?

I personally find bigger women very attractive. I have had some absolutely mind-blowing sexual experiences with bigger girls BUT any further than that and the issues that others have been mentioning do play a part.

I say this because one girl who I have had great sexual chemistry with is very smart, very attractive and very cultured.. BUT she eats a lot of really shitty food and it makes me think less of her to be completely honest. This may be more to do with the fact that she is the type of person who posts all these fancy desserts she is eating in restaurants on her facebook and I find that to be really stupid and self-depreciating.

However, seeing as our agreement is only sexual and that she thankfully has no interest in a relationship, I guess I feel kind of detached when it comes to thinking too much into it. I just know that I could never date someone like that.

I like women who are healthy. Which means, they don’t starve themselves and are as skinny as a stick. Also, not so heavy that they are considered an unhealthy weight. But there is beauty to be found in both. I’ve seen beautiful skinny women, and beautiful heavy women.

I want to start by questioning the question. I don’t feel it’s an enlightening tangent, because it’s encouraging a negative. Skinny girls are better than curvy girls? Curvy girls are better than skinny girls? Who started this war and why do we perpetuate it? Can’t people be beautiful as they are? Can’t different folks be attracted to different strokes? What purpose does widening this divide serve in the end?

Secondly, it is very sad to me how folks who would otherwise never abuse their fellow humans drop straight down a vortex of bigotry and stereotype without a second thought when it comes to body type. I debated whether to even reply here, but decided if even one person rethinks their attitude and treatment of their fellow humans from it then it is worth doing.

I am what you would call a BBW. When did I “get fat”? Sometime between conception and birth. Been this way all my life. But definitely “big”. And seeing as how any shortage of love and sexual attention I have ever experienced has been both short lived and self imposed, I have no doubt I am beautiful. And since I am cisgendered with the boobs and booty nature gave me, I’m definitely a woman. So, the shoe fits and I tend to stick it up the behind of those who try to spit on it.

As I’ve said, no shortage of love or admirers in my life. I have a loving partner, and he is quite the opposite – very thin. Guess which one of us fills up on junk food? That fellow can eat meals between meals from fast food hell and is skinny as a rail. I am the one who is concerned about health when it comes to food choices, and always fork over the portion I can’t finish to him. But there are people who have commented here who would take one look at us and assume the exact opposite.

I practice Health At Every Size, which is the radical notion that healthy eating and living habits are more important than a BMI or a number on a scale, and that the latter does not necessarily reflect the former. My doctor is happy with me and my weight and activity levels are largely stable. A great resource to learn more about HAES is Ragen Chastain, a BBW dance champion who writes the Dances With Fat blog at http://danceswithfat.wordpress.com/ – her writing is part of why I was inspired to say something, to hopefully affect people’s attitudes.

Back to the original question, I dream of a day when we create a culture where we stop playing this who-is-better game and treat each other with respect instead of abuse, where people’s attractions are taken as the personal preference that they ultimately are, and where we remember that both beautiful and ugly may show on our skin, but are generated from within.

Peace, y’all.

BBW doesn’t mean obese or shapeless. It’s having those extra folds of flesh that buttress the stimulus of ‘fertile’.

My search phrase for porn usually goes ‘ebony bbw amateur’.. Maybe because I lost my virginity to a chubby one and got hooked, or she put a bbw spell on me lol.

What’s disappointing is that male actors don’t actually play with the bigger snatch, I wouldn’t miss an opportunity to grab that; more points if it’s hairy.

@lolivia (i liked your other post about watching too much porn, …something for my new year’s list)

I like women who like themselves enough and don’t need to be reminded or lied to so they’d need to show they’re not insecure all the time and prove the exact opposite. :)

Well, seeing as people are questioning body types, lets get some comparisons in here, so we have something to base it off of. I think this is a good picture:

http://i54.tinypic.com/fkrtxd.jpg

I think 6 and 7 are definitely a no for me. 0 and 1 are mostly no… but I mayyyy be swayed to a yes, depending on the person. On looks alone, its a no. 5 I’d say yes, but it’s pushing it. Depends the person again.

All the rest are looking hot to me :)

Here’s the guy version, in case we’re discussing both genders.

I’ll take 2, 3, 4 and 5 on the female chart, no questions asked.

Idk I defiantly like women with a bit of meat on them, I don’t want to feel like I’m fucking a 12 year old boy, but not to much. I defiantly like them curvy though.

To go off on a tangent I try not to hold it against a person that much if they are fat, especially women cause they gain fat more easily than men. Personally my eating habits are not the greatest BUT I do make sure I exercise for about an hour pretty much every day so that is probably why I’m so fit.

I feel unless you are treating your body like a frickin temple yourself you hardly have the right to judge other peoples bodies. Although I do believe that being fat is MOSTLY due to bad diet or lack of exercise and has less to do with genetics in most cases.

Tl;dr alot of people have shitty eating/exercise habits but don’t suffer the photogenic (external) consequences while others do BUT everybody can BE fit.

@lytning91, I’m with you on this one.

As far as the male chart goes, the whole top aside from the first one are all the same? Those sizes are more determined by genetics than the labels. I lol’d though cause I’ve worked out and run my whole life and I’ve never had abs. But by no means am I on any of those bottom pictures either so apparently my body type doesn’t exist lol.

Ideal for me would be 0, 1, 2, 8, for as I had mentioned earlier the basis of my ‘physical’ preference – by no means psychological – is on health and longevity. The aforementioned numbers circumscribe my definition of health and longevity to the extent of my scientific knowledge.

@scew, There is nothing the same with the top row male pictures. It increases from left to right with muscle mass. Note that they all have a very low body fat percentage. I don’t feel genetics has anything to do with them.
Just because you work out and run your whole life, that does not guarantee you to have visible abs. You have abs. In fact, it is your diet that plays the crucial role in your physique. In particular, a low mycotoxin intake. Second to that would be regular sleep patterns and low stress levels. You are right in that there are some body types missing. I would imagine you are somewhere between the ripped/athletic and built fat.

@lolivia, You started this, so I should ask you.

What do you classify as a BBW? I usually thought of BBW as “fat people”, so I would classify it as a 5. But I found out, BBW is Big Beautiful Women. So under that, I may call it a 4.

It’s all about health and what I imagine sex with you would be like. 2, 3 and 8 are obviously the hottest. 9, 1 and 6 are equally gross. 4 is looking fine but 5 is pushing it though I’d say it’s mostly because of her lack of posture and style
