Breaking news! Water Ice Discovered on Mercury

Mercury is the planet in our solar system closest to the sun, residing outside the Goldilocks habitable zone … the planet’s temperature reaches 800 degrees Fahrenheit (427 degrees Celsius)… and yet water ice on Mercury’s north pole has recently been confirmed by scientists…

one has to believe that somewhere near the outskirts where ice meet heat, there lies melted ice (hence water)…

what would be the implication of this??… i’d like to hear Heethen thoughts on this subject.

@johnkorvac, it’s not uncommon to find similar molecules and states within a solar system.

It’s nothing special, the same way many of jupiters moons displaying the same things aren’t special.
