@bongodeburrito, my hope is that it is all connected evenly, yes you may feel things stronger with those close to you, for obvious reasons, but I believe you can have the same connection with strangers of a totally different world view, its just a matter of truely knowing yourself. We are all one, just different takes on the same thing. When we see ourselves in others, our higher self and theirs are very much the same essence. We hide it with our egos, but those with a keen eye can see through any mask.

If your were void of all senses I don’t see how you could interpret anything. I guess you could sense space and time since you would be aware of your body in space and your constant existence in time. But other than that it would be impossible to sense anything let alone someone else’s mood. Sure we are all made of the same stuff and the same energy but that doesn’t mean we can communicate without our physical senses. I guess some people just believe in a different plane or medium other than the physical on which we can communicate with others. Interesting… I’m not saying that this perspective is wrong just hard to grasp from a scientific viewpoint. I think as our understanding of quantum mechanics and subatomic particles advances this may explain how people communicate on a subconscious level, without the conventional way we use our senses to perceive others moods based on “energy”.

@kathompson1121, so let’s say you’re sitting down, blindfolded. If someone were standing behind you, would you be able to sense that there is someone there?

@sumtinprophetic, I would say no. However, people always claim they can “feel” when someone is watching them.

@sumtinprophetic, I’m assuming I can’t hear them breathing, or feel the warmth from their body/breath as well.

… or smell them.

@cosmicplur, True that Stacey, true that. I guess more connected was a bad choice of words. More sensitive would have been more accurate. I dream of the day when I feel connected to all.

A room or crowd can give off a vibe. I have personally experienced this, sometimes it helps tell the future if you listen closely enough. I know that sounded weird but I have had this happen to me and others who were there too.

We were all at a party and after a few hours of chilling, me and a few friends were sitting outside talking and gradually each felt this distinct “vibe” or “energy”, and it was not a good one. We each had an inkling that we should leave because of the vibe but decided to say fuck it and smoke some more bowls. After about 30minutes the cops showed up and we ended up having to sprint out the back door and hide for two hours in the forest nearby. Also, before the party started I remember seeing a cop and both my friend and I got a bad vibe from it and thought maybe cops would come that night.

Thoughts seem to create reality. I have been testing this out lately…you all should too.

I also have a thread on this: http://www.highexistence.com/topic/vibes-2/

Of course we can read energies of other people. Your essentially speaking of communication. Although it isn’t verbal it is still language. Much like the concept of mirror neurons, they can mimic the processes of another through observation, but are not limited to mimicking, neurons can also choose to ignore or simply let be.

My ex used to be able to actually feel my pain himself, physically. Not as intensely as me, but he would get cramps, he ached when I broke my collarbone, his thigh when I got myself a haematoma there (I don’t recommend handlebars in near the crotch haha), etc. I also had problems with my right wrist while we were together, he’d broken his in several places and it hurt him almost constantly. I can’t explain it further than that we had a very strong connection on a vibrational/energy level. It was an amazing experience to have a connection like that.

My sister and I, with whom I shared the same bedroom for 14 years or so, have a very strong connection as well. We often had the same thoughts, said the same thing at the same time A LOT, finished each other’s sentences, dreamed the same dreams sometimes, and although we’re half a world away from each other now, whenever we’re together we can still “see” each other’s thoughts. Obviously my best friend :)

So I’m of the opinion that it is possible to pick up these vibes, but it is important to be in the vicinity of that person, and visuals do have a role to play, but it may just be possible…

Can’t explain having the same dreams any way other than shared energies, and at that stage it can’t be anything other than a “telepathic” connection.

As someone before me mentioned, many cultures teach that we are all one.
Ive recently read a book that explained the whole deal in a more modern way of thinking and ever since….. boy was she right.

Ive been experimenting with sensing peoples “vibes” and testing my findings. ive found that its almost always spot on.
taking this further, these vibes can be manipulated with practice.
have you ever been around someone who just brightens up the whole room? everyone is capeable of this. its just a matter of finding your center.

after realizing my ability to sense people energy/vibe/aura, i realized that it can be a VERY usefull skill. playing around with both this sensitivity to others, and deep meditation/exploration of the cosmos, ive learned that manipulation of these energies is the key to any/all religious experiences. jesus was trying to teach us how to manipulate these ‘dimensions of consiousness’, the buddah, you name it. same concept.

the more i practice this manipulation of vibes, the more i realize the power its effect has.
however dont misunderstand my use of the word power. this ability can be used to really change/inspire people.

so if you find yourself extra sensitive to all this jazz. dont just wright it off. embrace it! especally if your trying to change the world like i, and many others on this site are trying to do.
you dont have to take my word for it, but this is a REAL thing, and everyone has the ability to tap into it.
one must only listin.

@bigred, dude youre on to some deep stuff. but, some advice for the future, don’t over generalize the concepts of jesus or buddha. people get uppity about those details. most likely they will outright attack what you say or whatever just because you don’t show that respect

@cognizantelephant, your totally right.
if its any diffrence, im buddhist myself.

was just giving examples of religious figures who mastered this ability.
