Hell no, not worth the hassle for lack luster live shows…..big festivals aren’t anyway to relax and enjoy time away from the grind…they are serious work.
Go to some smaller stuff, you’ll thank yourself…you can’t see everyone you’re gonna want to see, nor is everyone you may like an actual good live show…
yeah I’m a little burned out on big festivals. It takes so much energy to try to see the shows you want, plus tickets and everything else is soooo expensive. I don’t have a problem sneaking in but I do have a problem being in a place where they charge people $5 for water when they’re rolling face and really need it.
i think i’m over big festivals, too. there’s lots on, but at the end of the day you’re really only seeing a couple of acts in an uncomfortable environment, for one big expensive ticket. there are more enjoyable environments to take loads of MDMA.
I’m glad everyone seems to have reached the same consensus regarding large festivals, just a away to get you seperated from your money, @ Tammy, for shame! Try and have fun, but really, I can hang around a bunch of people I actually enjoy for much less effort…
@Tammy – you’re lucky, i can’t believe how fast it sold out this year. definitely getting presale for the next :)
@Everyone else – i went a couple of years ago and it was the tiiiime of my life haha. it’s the only festival i’ve ever been to, so i haven’t burnt out yet (maybe in a few years?). i usually do go to small shows.
Anyways, i was just wondering in the first place to see about meeting up. Sold out before I could even get past the standby page.
haha ya I’ve actually only ever been to bamboozle which wasn’t thatt huge of a festival, i never really had time or got into the whole raving and whatever else there was but I figured I gotta try everything at least once in life right? haha i have a couple festivals lined up this year though so regardless of the work involved or stigmas or whatever I, like always hope to be having a blast :)
Wish i could go but i live in england :/ there are a few good festivals small and big in the uk though
hey tammy, just a heads up, make sure you go and see ‘SBTRKT’, i saw him last summer and he’s just build an amazing atmosphere even if you don’t like electronic music.
