Cold Shower Challenge!
I just read all of the 50 life tips That Jordan made, and I found this one to be one that I could do. I am going to try to only take cold showers for 30 days.
So, I challenge YOU to do the same, or at least for a week. I have no doubt it will be hard to do, I take showers that are barely below scalding, so it will take some getting used to.
Post and tell me if you are going to do this too

Anytime Em… us girls have to stick together, lol.
‘getting strong now, wont be long now, getting strong now’… haha, the lyrics are horrible, yet sooo inspirational. “gonna fly now, getting high now” haha, omg. The real inspiration to hurry up in the shower is to turn this song off :)
Seriously though, I think this challenge is well worth the effort… Besides the whole skin thing, it forces me into the chilling moment and does not let you ignore the present. We can all practice now, when the winter comes we can step it up a level.
It’s pretty hot in the UK at the moment so I’ve taken the odd cold shower here and there just for cooling off purposes. I LOVED it so I am definitely up for taking this challenge.
I’m hoping for the same effects as everyone with regards to skin looking better. It’s also totally worth it as a cold water rinse after shampooing your hair makes it shinier and smoother so I’m sure a cold shower for 5mins or so would get both hair and skin in great shape.
Been following this thread for a few days now and finally decided to join the HE community, so thank you to whoever started it. I’m in my third day and got to say it’s getting easier to just jump right in. I know this is all kind of masochist but I kind of enjoy that initial shock. After the shower I feel great. Will definitely keep doing it for at least another 27 days.
I’ve been doing it since November of last year, and haven’t looked back once. I’ve considered taking a hot shower every once in a while, especially when the water first turns on and it’s hot, but I know that if I allow myself to skip it once, I’ll eventually do it again and break the habit of cold showers. I actually did an ice bath a few weeks ago, just to see how it would go, and I got WAY too cold–when I stood up to get out, I couldn’t even walk straight.
I probably won’t be doing that one again…lol
