I’ve talked with a few of my closest friends about this before, because I sometimes (more and more frequently, lately) see odd things that are hard to describe and I wondered if they do, too. I see them most often in my house and a couple of the people I talked to about it also saw some of the things I’ve been seeing when they were over at my place.
The most common one is like little flashes of bright white lights. Sometimes it will just be one. One random quick flash of light. Which, at first, was enough to make me think it was just my eyes playing tricks or whatever, but it happens too often now for me to shrug it off as that. Then, there are also what I refer to as "the sparkles", which is like a little group of lights that flash around for a minute. Almost like a little cloud of astral glitter or something floating around. Other times, I see a group of hmmm how to explain.. non-lights. They don’t flash like the other things, it’s more like static on a TV. I also see static-like matter when I look at the sky or a white wall sometimes. A few nights ago, I saw a flash of blue light when I was laying in bed. That was the first time I’d ever seen a colored flash of light.
Surely, it’s not my imagination or me going crazy if other people have witnessed it, too. It happens most often when I’m laying in bed. One night, my ex boyfriend and I were laying in my bed talking and we both paused for a minute because we saw the sparkles and I was like "are you seeing it too?" and he told me yep.
Anyone else ever experience this or see other weird phenomena? If you do experience anything out of the ordinary, do you have any theories on it or actually even know what it is you’re seeing? How does it make you feel when it happens to you?
I will start with the second type of non-lights or shapes that you see, I believe those are energy patterns best discovered by first focusing *long* like into the blue of the sky, then letting the middle field come over, and you see these little energy marks darting around like so many little sperms, but they follow around shapes. I have heard about courses offered to help people discover this, but like you it just happens to me naturally.
The little stars or pin pricks of light, could be your retina detaching, or tiny ischemic attacks(strokes). The fact the your BF agrees that he saw them too could be, maybe lol, he is just being sweet, most men will agree to anything when they are in bed with you.
I see colors, my eyes can be closed or open doesnt matter, its easier to see in a darkened room as the light of these colors arenot very bright. I think I am seeing the six colors of my chakras, teal, aqua, magenta, vermilion and amber and indigo, they fold over each other and make boring patterns, this has been happening for years so its not a serious medical condition, if its that!
Oh no he definitely wasn’t lying lol I could just tell. We just both paused and this weird feeling came over me and I knew he was seeing it and feeling it too.
That’s interesting, the first bit you said. I’ve never heard anything like that..
Oh, I just remember, I see things in droplets of water too. There’s a river behind my house and sometimes I’ll just go sit in it, and water droplets will end up on my glasses. If I focus on them, I see patterns shifting and morphing in the droplets. Know anything about that?
Mike, I don’t think we’re talking about the same thing. I’ve experienced what you’re talking about upon standing up too fast or whatever, but what I’m talking about is different. It doesn’t look the same. Like, when I see “stars” when I stand up, that overtakes my whole vision pretty much but when I see “sparkles” I can see everything else around me clearly and there’s just a small “cloud” full of sparkles grouped together.
@Laura; Ah, true. Not sure then.
@PJ; Could you possibly elaborate more on the dots in the sky? Or rather the dots that can appear when you stare for a while into a blue sky, exactly how you described; energy marks darting around. Like millions of energy points flying cumbersomely in different directions. Any idea what they are? I had always assumed some sort of visual glitch.
the whole thing where you see “stars” when you stand up that overtakes your whole vision: I know EXACTLY what you mean. I had to go to a few neurologists because I had serious problems with migraines and fainting along with seeing things like you do. They really had no clue what I was talking about, and didn’t believe me. they wrote it off as effects from anxiety. Then they told me I had symptoms middle aged women get when they have “mini strokes” which is like a stroke that has no long lasting effects but it a precursor to a real stroke later in life. This didn’t make sense to them, because I was only 17 when I was, uh, “diagnosed”. I still see white dots floating and random colored spots that really aren’t the same as other people describe when they get light headed. The neurologist called the colored spots “auras”.. which is basically signals sent from the brain to the eyes. Still to this day, after seeing all the doctors I’ve seen, they apparently have no clue what any of these things I see are, but I definitely know what you mean.
Sorry If I didn’t describe what I see well enough… I’m typing this fast. So I hope it makes sense. lol
The Hadinger’s brush is what I am talking about. It is a little more broad than what is talked about in the article.
The sparkling fuzz you may see in the sky is due to polarized light. You may also check out the other articles to see if you can find something that describes what you are seeing :)
(maybe you are a low-level psychic? Ghosts maybe?)
Marena, goto the optometrist, I used to see flocks of geese in the corner of my eye, but turned out to be white blood cells pooled up in my eyes. Almost made me blind. Very hard to diagnose sometimes. It probably isn’t what it is though, If its been going on for a long time I doubt that is the problem though :)
I saw the strangest thing that I have ever seen this past summer. I was sitting out on my rooftop when a mass of energy came flying over the roof. It was beautiful and it sparkled as it held still over top the chimney of the house next to mine. It was about as big as a basketball and when it moved it was faster than anything imaginable. I soon came to the conclusion that paranormal things do exist and that they are not out to harm us. (Anyone who is into role playing or some good humor, read on….) This was one of those events that was so thought provoking that I had told everyone that I knew about this random and sparkling object by the end of the week and several discussions followed. One of my friends had told me that my apartment was haunted and that a woman had died in my apartment several years ago. I didn’t really believe that my apartment was haunted but I did ask my landlord about the woman that had died. He told me that the apartment was haunted at one time and that he had a priest come in and anoint the walls (sounds like some crazy shit to me as I am a nonreligious individual). Anyways, I asked him what he thought caused the apartment to be haunted and he replied, “Its those kids that play Dungeons and Dragons!” I almost died laughing.
The fuzzy things you see, “swimming sperm”, is a normal phenomenon called “the blue field effect”. The dots are white blood cells in the capillaries in front of the retina of the eye, near the macula. They don’t absorb light so it shines right thru them. Pretty strange. The sparkles could be a few things. Severe cases are caused by retina detachment. This would be like a firestorm of sparkles. The inner eye has no nerve(s) so it needs a way to tell you something
is wrong. It uses a phosphorus jelly substance to do so. Nothing to worry about!
Ace, aint that the truth!
Denys, I have read that too about the swimming transparent objects in a blue field of vision just being the cells floating in the vitreous humour, so its probably safe to assume that is what a few of us are seeing.
The sparkles can be serious, (macular degeneration and retinal detachment) Which I have been to the retinal specialist and he cleared me totally, but I see them too, a few sparklers here and there. ditto with the clear MRI,(so no strokes) so what is it that we are seeing?
I think that Laura is an excellent observer of light in nature, have you thought to use those images that come to you on the reflected surface of water drops in a painting?
Being open to seeing what others do not is a gift, as long as we ascertain that imagination doesnt distort all reason. I am still emabarassed about falling for the popcorn /cell phone hoax.
Hah, I saw the weird static stuff when looking at my white wall when I woke up today.
PJ – that is an awesome idea about painting. Unfortunately, I don’t really have painting supplies since I was never very good at it. And the patterns shift kind of quickly in the water droplets, I’m not sure if I’d be able to do that.. maybe I will attempt to sketch something out (even though I suck at drawing too) next time it happens to me, that would be cool.
What about seeing people? After readiing this I kind of feel crazy haha, but I see this lady all the time and I’m honestly not sure if she’s real or not. She’s in the grocery stores, at work, on my bus, walking down the street ahead of me, even in my school sometimes. It seems too bizarre that she pops up everywhere I go, but she’s a vivid person. She’s got bright red hair, she’s almost 6 feet tall, and she never looks at anyone that I’ve noticed. She’s quite a beautiful sight, really
Haha just tell her the truth, she would probably think it’s funny. XD Or make a joke like “So uh I see you everywhere all the time, you stalkin’ me?”.
This is random/weird but I keep seeing smiley faces everywhere tonight. And no I don’t mean on the computer lol like faces forming in things. Most recent example: The steak juice on my plate.
@Kayleigh- have you heard the term “synchronicity”? We experience it everyday, if only we take the time to notice. It sounds that your scenario definitely goes beyond the notion of coinicidence… regardless of whether or not the woman is consciously appearing in your world. You should strike up a convo! Go into it without any extreme expectations, and pay attention to the feeling you have upon talking to her. Very interesting indeed.
@Laura- I’ve had the same experiences as you, right up to the flash of blue light will lying in my bed. Did you ever look at one of those optical art books, where you have to focus your vision in a certain way to see the picture? I do that while looking at the sky on a sunny day, focusing on the “ether”. I believe that what I’m seeing is energy. There are many ways to interpret that…
Have you heard of elementals? the spirit realm, the different types of fae embodying earth, air, fire or water. Perhaps they are air fae…
I love you already, Briana, because of your mention of the fae haha. I’ve always had a thing about fairies and have definitely wondered if that’s what I may be seeing, especially since a woman who did a chakra reading on me a while back said I had a couple fairies around me. o_o
And I actually wondered about the sky stuff being energy I was seeing, too.
Oh cool you’re into astral projection? I haven’t tried it in a long time, but I came realllly close to doing it a couple of times. Or at least I think so, anyway. It felt like the arms of my astral body were out of my physical body, but there was a lot of suction so it was hard to pull all the way out.
cashion bad spelling… The static on the walls u see comes from staring at the wall with with abslutely nothing on your mind, or in a blank state of mind. i see little colored lights when i try to sleep. normaly i would have my contacts in, but last night i didnt and i have this problem with my eyes ware all lights have a black dot in the middle of it. So when it hapend with out my contacts or glassis on i knew i wasnt going crazy and that there was acshwil light there. some times i see it more then ones. i dont think anything of it, but now that i know my eyes arent playing tricks on me i wunder what it is that i am seeing..
