Do you ever see weird things?
I’ve talked with a few of my closest friends about this before, because I sometimes (more and more frequently, lately) see odd things that are hard to describe and I wondered if they do, too. I see them most often in my house and a couple of the people I talked to about it also saw some of the things I’ve been seeing when they were over at my place.
The most common one is like little flashes of bright white lights. Sometimes it will just be one. One random quick flash of light. Which, at first, was enough to make me think it was just my eyes playing tricks or whatever, but it happens too often now for me to shrug it off as that. Then, there are also what I refer to as "the sparkles", which is like a little group of lights that flash around for a minute. Almost like a little cloud of astral glitter or something floating around. Other times, I see a group of hmmm how to explain.. non-lights. They don’t flash like the other things, it’s more like static on a TV. I also see static-like matter when I look at the sky or a white wall sometimes. A few nights ago, I saw a flash of blue light when I was laying in bed. That was the first time I’d ever seen a colored flash of light.
Surely, it’s not my imagination or me going crazy if other people have witnessed it, too. It happens most often when I’m laying in bed. One night, my ex boyfriend and I were laying in my bed talking and we both paused for a minute because we saw the sparkles and I was like "are you seeing it too?" and he told me yep.
Anyone else ever experience this or see other weird phenomena? If you do experience anything out of the ordinary, do you have any theories on it or actually even know what it is you’re seeing? How does it make you feel when it happens to you?

@Laura; Ah, true. Not sure then.
@PJ; Could you possibly elaborate more on the dots in the sky? Or rather the dots that can appear when you stare for a while into a blue sky, exactly how you described; energy marks darting around. Like millions of energy points flying cumbersomely in different directions. Any idea what they are? I had always assumed some sort of visual glitch.
well, everybody seems to have your situation pinned down to scientific physical/psych things……. it is possible that you are seeing some form of energy from what people call ghosts…..i have never seen any myself, but i had a cousin that had all kinds of crazy activity in her house. on more than one occasion they caught these things in photographs, and they did sort of look like the things you describe. balls of energy and such. ghosts aside though, there are a lot of natural occurrences that take place that we still have no idea about. scientists do not have everything figured out, there is plenty seen and unseen that we have no explanation for. so if you rule out the fact that your eyes/brain are ok, maybe that should be the next train of thought. and as long as its really not causing any problems in your life, maybe you should just enjoy them. sounds cool to me…
No! She’s always far away, i notice her because of her red hair haha it sticks out like a sore thumb! I should try that though, i just dont know what I’d say if this whole thing turned out to be coincidence :P
the whole thing where you see “stars” when you stand up that overtakes your whole vision: I know EXACTLY what you mean. I had to go to a few neurologists because I had serious problems with migraines and fainting along with seeing things like you do. They really had no clue what I was talking about, and didn’t believe me. they wrote it off as effects from anxiety. Then they told me I had symptoms middle aged women get when they have “mini strokes” which is like a stroke that has no long lasting effects but it a precursor to a real stroke later in life. This didn’t make sense to them, because I was only 17 when I was, uh, “diagnosed”. I still see white dots floating and random colored spots that really aren’t the same as other people describe when they get light headed. The neurologist called the colored spots “auras”.. which is basically signals sent from the brain to the eyes. Still to this day, after seeing all the doctors I’ve seen, they apparently have no clue what any of these things I see are, but I definitely know what you mean.
Sorry If I didn’t describe what I see well enough… I’m typing this fast. So I hope it makes sense. lol
Well hey, may as well join the crazies with my first post =)
I’ve experienced most of the things in this thread. For starters, I’d like to thank Denys for quickly explaining what the dots are, haha. Solid scientific information is good!
As for the sparkles and the static. I’ve seen quite frequently. I’ve been told that the sparkles are from tiredness and it attributes to eye strain or something. That’s totally possible.
I saw someone relate static with circles, I used to get these a lot when I was a teenager (I’m 21). I’d notice them before I went to bed (before the hypnagogic state). They were very vivid in the darkness. Usually there would be hundreds of circles, usually red, often blue and sometimes green, sometimes through my whole vision, sometimes scattered or parts of it. I figured out I could control it. I could change their colors, change their shapes, turn them into the colored clouds that I would also see pretty much all the time, but I’ve never been able to make any real imagery out of them. It got to the point where I could see them overlayed in my vision in broad light. And I can still see them whenever I want to, by choice. Is it brain patterns? Who knows. Does it work like dreaming? Quite possibly. Are dreams brain patterns? Why not? Probably just a part of our complex visualation process.
As for shadows, one time(also in my early teens) I was on my computer in the bedroom, I saw a shadow travel from the center of my window, up the wall, on the ceiling and straight into the light that was in the center of my room. I never figured that one out. Also I’ve seen my cat chase a shadow up and down the steps once in my later teens. Also not logical :) And yea, that’s just a few out of not that many.
The Hadinger’s brush is what I am talking about. It is a little more broad than what is talked about in the article.
The sparkling fuzz you may see in the sky is due to polarized light. You may also check out the other articles to see if you can find something that describes what you are seeing :)
(maybe you are a low-level psychic? Ghosts maybe?)
So one thing I’ve noticed is that for as long as I can remember I see clusters of tiny little red dots that float around. I see them when my eyes are open and closed, I really only notice it when i focus on it but it seems to be more prevalent in the dark.
Haha just tell her the truth, she would probably think it’s funny. XD Or make a joke like “So uh I see you everywhere all the time, you stalkin’ me?”.
This is random/weird but I keep seeing smiley faces everywhere tonight. And no I don’t mean on the computer lol like faces forming in things. Most recent example: The steak juice on my plate.
LOL…For so long I’ve always thought no one else has seen ‘the sparklers’ so I never mentioned them to others…This ‘empty space’ all around us is filled with an amazing amount of this kind of light. If you stare into the blue sky, and focus on one point, you will begin to see them easier in your perifeal vision…they move so fast that as soon as you try to focus on them they scatter in all directions.I’m guessing that they are a part of a higher dimention and will play an important part of Free Energy as we evolve and discover ways to tap into this remarkable higher vibration all around us.When I see them..I feel a deep peace.
Marena, goto the optometrist, I used to see flocks of geese in the corner of my eye, but turned out to be white blood cells pooled up in my eyes. Almost made me blind. Very hard to diagnose sometimes. It probably isn’t what it is though, If its been going on for a long time I doubt that is the problem though :)
@Kayleigh- have you heard the term “synchronicity”? We experience it everyday, if only we take the time to notice. It sounds that your scenario definitely goes beyond the notion of coinicidence… regardless of whether or not the woman is consciously appearing in your world. You should strike up a convo! Go into it without any extreme expectations, and pay attention to the feeling you have upon talking to her. Very interesting indeed.
@Laura- I’ve had the same experiences as you, right up to the flash of blue light will lying in my bed. Did you ever look at one of those optical art books, where you have to focus your vision in a certain way to see the picture? I do that while looking at the sky on a sunny day, focusing on the “ether”. I believe that what I’m seeing is energy. There are many ways to interpret that…
Have you heard of elementals? the spirit realm, the different types of fae embodying earth, air, fire or water. Perhaps they are air fae…
Okay so in all reality, I’m probably going to be the craziest one in this discussion but it’s relevant. So I don’t see the sparkles but shadows. Solid black that blur slighty at the edges. I’ve seen them glint across my room in the middle of the night, in my rear view mirror while I’m driving as if they are sitting in the back seat. Sometimes they are people shaped, othertimes they have no distinct shape at all. They always seem to be following me or watching me. A lot of the time I question it but I know that it’s not in my mind. I think I’ve become sensative to this kind of crap and really it’s a pain. I’m pretty used to it but it still gets me when I start to really think about it or talk about it.
I saw the strangest thing that I have ever seen this past summer. I was sitting out on my rooftop when a mass of energy came flying over the roof. It was beautiful and it sparkled as it held still over top the chimney of the house next to mine. It was about as big as a basketball and when it moved it was faster than anything imaginable. I soon came to the conclusion that paranormal things do exist and that they are not out to harm us. (Anyone who is into role playing or some good humor, read on….) This was one of those events that was so thought provoking that I had told everyone that I knew about this random and sparkling object by the end of the week and several discussions followed. One of my friends had told me that my apartment was haunted and that a woman had died in my apartment several years ago. I didn’t really believe that my apartment was haunted but I did ask my landlord about the woman that had died. He told me that the apartment was haunted at one time and that he had a priest come in and anoint the walls (sounds like some crazy shit to me as I am a nonreligious individual). Anyways, I asked him what he thought caused the apartment to be haunted and he replied, “Its those kids that play Dungeons and Dragons!” I almost died laughing.
Hey, i found this site when I was researching what the “sprinkles ” are and made an account just for this because i too see these things and its crazy because what happend to u happend to me its wierd i wanted to talk to people about it but i though i was the only one idk contact me on my email Flpgomes7@gmail.com if anyone wants to talk about this kind of stuff
I love you already, Briana, because of your mention of the fae haha. I’ve always had a thing about fairies and have definitely wondered if that’s what I may be seeing, especially since a woman who did a chakra reading on me a while back said I had a couple fairies around me. o_o
And I actually wondered about the sky stuff being energy I was seeing, too.
hello morgan…..i see these too, although mine are small shadows…..like a dog of something…that seems to pop round door ways and things….
i know there are there before i see them….not like im making them up, but like when you are asleep in bed and you KNOW there is a spider, and you find and dispose of said spider!
im glad this website is full of like minded people. :)
The fuzzy things you see, “swimming sperm”, is a normal phenomenon called “the blue field effect”. The dots are white blood cells in the capillaries in front of the retina of the eye, near the macula. They don’t absorb light so it shines right thru them. Pretty strange. The sparkles could be a few things. Severe cases are caused by retina detachment. This would be like a firestorm of sparkles. The inner eye has no nerve(s) so it needs a way to tell you something
is wrong. It uses a phosphorus jelly substance to do so. Nothing to worry about!
PJ, this happens to me also. It is natural as I do not do anything to initiate it and have not done a course to learn it. I thought it may be bacteria or something on the lens of my eyes. My science teacher had heard of this phenomena also but disagreed that it was bacteria as that is micro-scopic. He said there are impurities in the air that could cause it.
I tend to liken it more to energy. Some people simply see energy in different ways and everything fundamentally is made of energy.
Laura, I do have to ask more scientific questions before I start delving into spiritism and stuff like that. Do you live near high voltage power lines? Is your house old? Are there any water leaks anywhere, like the pipes in the wall or rain water from the roof? And (not to be offensive) do you take drugs?
