DON'T FUCK THE SYSTEM

I think he is referring to this:
“We are the system. If we all say fuck the system, the system will change. We shouldn’t try to save ourselves from the system by finding ways around a system which is clearly broken, we should save everyone from the system by bringing change. Remember the 60s!!!”
So if we fuck the system for shits and giggles as the pic you displayed was meant to show, then we are only hurting ourselves. Not sure how serious your pic was though
@ijesuschrist, “Saying fuck the system doesn’t have many better outcomes, but the changes are dramatic, and only when all has “settled” out do we get to see what we have seen. It also is chaotic, and sometimes destructive in nature. To me its much more interesting, and based on the sole idea that “everything will work itself out” makes me rather favor this, just for the pure excitement.
But, alas, I’d rather just go sit in the woods.”
hahaha, were so on the same page.
“To me its much more interesting, and based on the sole idea that “everything will work itself out” makes me rather favor this, just for the pure excitement.”
K, but chaos on the individual level is one thing, chaos on a societal shift level is a completely different animal, you would NOT enjoy the reality of it and yes, there probably would be non-stop excitement, but it would be more in the terrified, reality is now gone, kinda way.
I like that a lot. I’m going to build on it.
Fuck the system could mean a bunch of different things.
I say–if you have a problem with the system, then live the changes you’d like to see.
“Be the change you wish to see in the world”–I mean really, Ghandi was pretty fucking smart. If every single person who is not currently very powerful within the current system just lived the changes they’d like to see through their actions–well that’s a lot of people potentially. That would be some big change for you revolutionaries. Indirectly fighting the system. I mean come on, you really have to push change in the real world, in communities you actually live in, and work from there, that’s going to inspire change more than anything these days. Policy and legislation does work sometimes, but it’s hoops and mazes and obstacles. Rawr.
It’s dependence we have to turn our backs on. And for many, myself included, that’s very very hard. When you’re dependent on ANYTHING you’re whole life, it’s going to be pretty ingrained into you.
Broken down–if your parents gave you $1000 every month and you used that money to live, and for everything you’ve ever done, since the beginning of your life–a livable amount–and in return all you had to do was (__insert thing you don’t really like doing or believe in here__) you’d probably do it. Now if you got used to doing that all your life, and someday decided you never wanted to do _______ again, it would be hard to lose that income you’d been dependent on, and not only that–you’ve never known the feeling of NOT being dependent on that income.
It’s risky, the unknown. But sometimes, big risks into the unknown can reap large rewards, which is why some of us aim to do so, or have already done so.
But getting the majority to turn their backs on dependence, to say no to that life enabling lifestyle, however unhappy they really might be…they don’t know what it’s like living without that dependence. A lot of people don’t even realize the dependence exists, alas The Cave analogy works well here.
I don’t know where I’m going with this, I just wanted to build off of your Fuck the System meaning different kinds of action/beliefs for different people.
I guess I really like complete individual responsibility…together. If only it was easier to get that message understood.
That’s sad. Before HEthens started tapping themselves on the back we were talking about the system. Then a fucker, for example @ijesuschrist wanted to talk about himself and what’s fun, and another fucker agreed with him, because he’s also a HEthen, but a discussion about it is nowhere to be found. :)
You really love showing off, morons.
About the system, no one admitted they’re part of it, this is just another thread for you.
Many a year of hurt, extreme contemplation, excess, unfocused actions, hate, low esteem and a true desire to die kick starts this state, the cross to bear method. Reality remains, a tiny glimmer of light stays alive and feels for the souls who are yet to understand death.
Although far from ultimate conscious presence, ‘coincidences’, energies, dreams, everything, it come alive, an overwhelming sense of joy, deep joy even towards that which the unconscious would believe impossible or strange.
Every ill experience throughout time made sense, conscious knew, ego fought, the same ego believed it could win, creating conflict in surrounding minds, fear had become incarnate with the help on the collective minds dance.
Now I let go, accept, analyse, adapt, feel, not so much take action as belong. Sorry if this seems evasive of the question but the answer isn’t there, any advice and guidance kindly welcomed.
Maybe i just blazed too much shit!? :P
@beyond, IF you have a problem with me personally leave it in a message man, stop hating just to hate and be “different”. Don’t need to be different by hating… You’re a cool dude, but c’mon man, you’re not doing anything constructive in this discussion.
@tine, If we fuck the system we’re not fucking ourselves, we’re changing ourselves. For me, it would be a fairy land to go down the street one day and see every building completely covered in paint and art. I’d love to see people shutting down free-ways and clogging up subways – just so people have to deal with the change. The anti-mundane.
I am more than well aware that people would be outraged, pissed, and definitely get violent if this were to actually happen, and down a slippery slope we go. People would become segregated – those that believe and those that don’t believe. The problem would continue anew, and nothing would be solved. But hell, it beats talking about the weather, right?
Believing the phrase “Be the change you want to see” is powerful.
But in the context of helping people out, and being nice, and smiling all the time. Its good, there is no bad, but the duration of time this takes to see any dramatic changes in society? I Don’t know – but I would assume decades and decades, and the worst problems would be very fickle about changing.
Perhaps I’m just a bastard that enjoys doing whatever the fuck I want on buildings and public property. Maybe this is the answer – to simply just say fuck it and go paint big pictures of hearts and hugs on the local bank. Maybe its not.
Maybe we can only change slowly. Maybe that is the right thing – that change will take place over many life times.
Crazy thing it is. Crazy thing!
No, I understand completely, I am still struggling a lot with ego, I can relate, “Many a year of hurt, extreme contemplation, excess, unfocused actions, hate, low esteem and a true desire to die kick starts this state, the cross to bear method. ” as I remain there still by the thread of one last childish act, the constant smoking of the sticky goo, and its been really sticky for a loonnng time, but now a new plane of awareness awaits, I can see it, taste it, know how to get there, but there’s a lock on it, the key of which means gaining complete control of myself through the removal of all things opposing it.
What made you, “Now I let go, accept, analyse, adapt, feel, not so much take action as belong” was it a full release of emotion where you allowed yourself to feel as well as analyze?
I see the answer in what you wrote, you replied by defining the state L would have to be-in in order to be the way he is and how this translates to you. L’s state is achievable, the question is, can the individual become aware of this and recognize how.
There’s a correlation between perpetual pupil dilation and how ‘in the moment’ you are, I’ve been able to apply this theory by calling out an individual on his mind due to him having this attribute. Shawn, I came to find out, has a photographic memory
@ijesuschrist, I saw you wrote about changing the system from the inside, and how it would be really slow, sadly that’s impossible. We are not the first to realize that the system is broken, nor the first to believe it should change. there are non-corrupt politicians, non-corrupt people out there working for the right. All oppressed, all unheard. The system makes us believe that you can change it as people change, sadly another impossible,
I’m not saying people should go out start riots, break windows, and attack officials, Look at the UK, 2010 riots 2011 riots, 2012 riots, and there will probably be a 2013 riot because nothing was fixed,
We cannot Change the System ourselves without changing the forces of power in our country. The way of thinking that most of us may have is that we are being controlled my the media, the government and big corporations. We will never get back to the way things used to be when towns people knew eachother and mom n pop shops were where you shopped. We are conformists and we are brought up and taught that our way of life is the right way of life. Some of us can choose to be more green and grow some of our own food and do what we can to help planet earth but until systems collapse, we wont make the type of progress we need to in order to preserve life and create peace. Greed has taken over the minds and lives of the majority. So my outlook is to find something you love doing and do it, make a living and be moral about it. That is how you can do your part, dont let ego or greed take over. If you want to say fuck the system im with you all but you have to start acting by not eating fast food, not supporting big corporations that dont give back to the community and that dont replenish what they use. Dont vote for the big parties in government because whether its democrat or republican, their agenda is money and war generates money and in the end theyre politicians and someone is going to suffer no matter what, there is no such thing as a perfect world. Main stream media really brainwashes people and politicians do the same, but until more people change their way of thinking we are going to be stuck. Do your part no matter how small you think it may be and be happy, do what you love and you will never have to work a day in your life. Thats a quote but i forgot who said it. Be “hippiesque” or a modern hippie or your version of that, promote love, spread knowledge and gain knowledge. Educate yourself and do what you can with what you have. You can be a success with or without money but dont be greedy. I think that a revolution is upon us, and it starts with the mind, the thought process has to change and we cant let society brain wash us anymore. ONE LOVE!
@reinvented2012, when is soon?
I’m not trying to demean, but I always hear “Do what you love, do what you want to do”… but then people don’t take their own advice!
Just be the change you want to see… don’t wait around for it to happen to you. You make it happen.
@ijesuschrist, sometimes it is that easy, sometimes it isnt. When you have bills to pay, you cant always just quit a job and try and start something new without certain income. I do things on the side now that i enjoy to make extra cash, but the problem with realizing these things now is that changes take longer than you want them to. So for some (me) its a process not a rash decision, its about making one change at a time. So now is my time of education and learning about the world because i was blind to it for the first 25 years of my life, not caring about my health, societies problems, world problems, being controlled but told you’re free. I was ignorant because i didnt think i was directly affected, but now is a time for change because once you know you have to choose to not change and that is harder than just saying i didnt know. This is why its important to share the things you learn and try and learn and educate yourself on the problems the world faces, because in the end were all effected especially while the world becomes more “global”. Got a little off topic but thats what happens in these discussions.
