Hey guys, I’m a huge gear head and I’m curious what your favorite cars are!
Personally, I love too many to have an absolute favorite but I’ve always loved the m3 throughout the years it’s been in production.
It’s tough for me to choose but I like the muscle car genre…my all-time fave would have to be either the ’67,’68, or ’69-’70 Mustang Shelby GT-500. I also like the modern GT-500 cars too, as well as the ’03-’04 Mustang SVT Cobra. I really like all the muscle cars but if I could pick only one, it would be some form of Mustang.
And, it’s not like I’m unhappy with my current car, a bright red ’00 Mustang GT. It’s got all the power I need to have fun just cruising along, with the V8 purring like a wild beast. Unfortunately, my next car will probably have to be some form of hybrid or electric….but if I ever get to the point where I don’t have to worry about gas prices, I’ll definitely get a Mustang again.
@theskafish, I love good old American muscle but I’m more of a euro/jap guy. I like high revving refined cars with modern tech. Mustangs are still using suspension components from the 60′s lol!
@splashartist, I guess it’s all about what events you like…do you like events such as autocross, or drag racing? I actually have done neither, but I think I’d pick drag racing, just stomping on the gas and taking off. Also, I didn’t think Mustangs still use suspension parts from as far back as the ’60s. I know that my car’s suspension is more or less similar to that of the Fox platform, which was late ’70s through early ’90s though so I guess it’s not a completely modern car.
@theskafish, I’m all about corners, I love driving the twisties. I like a car with good balance. Don’t get me wrong I love raw power but I like a chassis that can handle the power. Yea idk and the mustangs use a live rear axle still which is super old tech, even though mustangs are incredibly capable cars still. The new gt500 is a beast on the track (until the brakes give out the second lap apparently).
Give me a M3 over the new 5.0 liter mustang gt anyway.
Cars are my weakness…. Nissan Skyline GTR, Toyota Supra, 69 Camaro, BMW m1, m3, m5, and m6, Twin-Turbo 300zx, Mercedes s600, Cadillac CTS-V, Dodge chalengers (New and old) Lamborghini Aventador, Lexus LFA, Too many Ferrari’s to name, Aston Martin’s, McLaren’s…I love cars. So much.
