First time ecstasy use
I’m going to try ecstasy soon and I’m psyched about it! I’m mainly wondering where I should try it. I’ve been going to a lot of bonfires lately so that is a possibility. Maybe a music festival even? Surprisingly most of my friends just stick to pot and alcohol so I can’t really get a group of people together to join me but maybe I could find one or two others. I’m not really looking for anything in particular but any advice/suggestions?

@prittii, completely disagree. feelings are more real than anything else in this world. Rolls teach folks empathy. I know so many folks that its helped. You may have gotten a bad batch, matter of fact, this is the first time I’ve ever heard of anyone not liking rolling. Comedown I think is an afterglow of a magical experience :D
@filipek, I understand, I just don’t draw the line. I don’t care for sports. You just need to make sure you know where you draw the line and where you draw the line.
Caffeine does release endorphins, so does smelling flowers. The mechanisms are similar, sometimes, but the intensity isn’t.
@cheeky, I disagree with your availability. I know the people who make it and it’s so widely available (at least from their perspective) that it isn’t worth competing. There are huge labs now that make it… Small timers can’t compete.
MDMA pure is easier to find than ever, so I’m told – directly from the source.
easier than ever ? Most folks on this site are in there early 20′s. During the late 80′s it was absolutely rampant, and completely legal.
Data is pointing that you are correct… kind of shocked actually… maybe it just hasn’t hit us yet in Florida.
@cheeky, Most of the people who make it are on the west coast – they get the reagents directly from china, and some get the already-made directly from the southern border…
Its really cheap now too – everyone I’ve heard from is really pissed :) They used to be pretty well off, but now they find it hard to even be worth doing with all the risks involved.
Rumor is that there are professors & larger companies making it at an industrial scale. They have been CONFIRMED in Europe to be doing this – entire warehouses dedicated to the production, how they get away with it is… well… who knows :P
@cheeky, The feelings are not real! I took it in a rave full of people without personality. While I was in the drug effect, suddenly everybody was awesome, but when the drug effect was gone, they were still people without personality, essence, objective… Empty people!
@cheeky, you’re dead on. Rolling taught me empathy (something I was sorely lacking before) and truly opened my heart. I haven’t rolled in a long time but I’m still present to the lessons I learned. I wouldn’t be who I am today, if I never rolled…
@prittii, Prittii, I know how you feel. You go to a rave and before everyone is rolling, everyone has their walls up hanging in their separate groups. The x comes on and everyone gels. That’s the great thing about x right? You stop judging others, as well as yourself, you click with people you’d NEVER talk to in the real world, your heart opens… But then the night is over and everyone goes back to being the way they were before. Maybe you meet some of your new rave friends a few weeks later, when no one is rolling, and it’s NOT THE SAME. Heck, I’ve talked with people afterwards that I wanted NOTHING to do with, people like you describe having met. But not everyone was like that, there were some amazing people I met. And look at the people on here you are talking to. This is a forum for people into self-development and creating amazing lives and it appears all of us on this thread have rolled (or are going to soon). I’m not trying to convince you to roll again, or hang out with people who do, I’m simply writing to point out maybe with the right people, in the right situation @michellejoy really could have an amazing time…
Really glad you are going to buy the test kit from dancesafe.org! Best money you’ll spend this year. I attended 3 to 6 massives (large raves) a year from 2007 to 2010. During those years, the tests came back negative three or four times. And of course, the person who hooked me up said, “No way, the person who sold me that stuff is my mother’s blah, blah, blah.” BS! The test doesn’t lie! The bad pills look just like the real thing but they are not, and a bad pill can really mess you up. Before I got the test kit, I took a double stack blue dolphin that jacked me for a month. After I bought that test kit, I never had another bad experience, not one! That doesn’t mean that some rolls, weren’t better than others, it does mean I never regretted any of them again =)
5-HTP rocks! The times when I was feeling depressed after a roll (this did not happen all the time) were cut in half when I started taking those vitamins afterwards.
Rolling at a rave your first time is going to be really intense, but as long as you’re with solid friends, you’ll be fine.
The biggest massives in the United States are done by http://insomniac.com/ (put on raves all over USA including EDC in Vegas 2013), http://www.goventures.com/index.php, (put on raves on west coast) http://wintermusicconference.com/ (big east coast rave). Go to the sites, get on their mailing lists and they will let you know when they do the big massives as well as the small regional raves. The small raves can be cool too, but nothing is like rolling with fifty thousand+ other people at an all night massive, that took millions of dollars to create. This youtube vid is a little dated (2010) but it totally captures the magic of a massive (especially the words in the beginning), it was one of my favorites in LA. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9u-vmk9iapQ I just got chills watching it again… you are in for so much fun!
In closing, even with that bad roll I had before the test kit, even with the depressing times that sometimes happened after rolling, even when I looked a little bit like some of the people in Prittii’s youtube clips once or twice, it was all worth it. The people, the crazy experiences, the music, the memories… AMAZING! Be smart, be safe, plan and you’re in for one of the best experiences of your life =)
Wishing you some clean, intense, love filled x for your first time,
@filipek, your comments reveal an absence of understanding of pharmacology or an unwillingness to apply this knowledge to your arbitrary principles concerning drugs. Coffee, specifically caffeine, absolutely alters the way your body functions and is psychoactive (crosses the blood-brain barrier) through blocking adenosine receptors (adenosine is a neurotransmitter that helps signal sleepiness, thus caffeine keeps you awake) as well as other avenues.
Legality (authority) is a terrible reason to believe anything, your connection from legality to authenticity is fallacious.
” You stop judging others, as well as yourself, you click with people you’d NEVER talk to in the real world, your heart opens”
I don’t consider “heart opens”… I consider it playing with the heart. We choose the people we like for a reason… I actually don’t need a drug to get suddenly connected to people… I like taking time to get connected with someone and that’s why I have a great variety of amazing friends.
“I’m not trying to convince you to roll again, or hang out with people who do”
Of course not, because this is actually impossible! As I’ve been through this experience, I can tell you for sure I wouldn’t hang out with people that do drugs again.
I took time and thought about the moments in my life when I was really happy and pleased… also about moments that were worthless to my personal growth… When I was spending time with the people I love, having fun, talking, traveling… people that actually care about me and about how I feel… then I had unforgettable times!
Then I remember times with people that took drugs… lost, without personality or objective… negative in many ways! The conversations were always empty… the moments were fake and I could easily live without them.
@eyesopen, I gave the example of coffee unjustifiable, so I take it back because you are right about that. I should have given an example of something abstract like a smile which makes a person happy. This is real for me, in contrast with drugs.
I do not get your last sentence, please explain. I am not making any connection with legalicity and authencity, I think you misunderstood what I said. What I say is based on personal experiences as well as from peers as well as from research I have read about the subject.
