wait… manimal’s gone?!? it’s true, i never liked the way he was either, but that didn’t matter as long as his ideas where as good as they were! but yeah definitely the way he said them was just…. sickening, like “uughh dude why must he say it like that?? but he does have a point…”
yes even people with a “menacing” approach towards society can have the light inside of them

hi, i have been getting a few emails from the manimal, as we exchanged adresseses a while ago. it seems he has headed off into the russian tundra, and is meditating in a cave. or at least that is what he told me. i heard from him about two weeks ago, he had come back to sweden for his dads birthday.
manimal is a provokative type and likes to make you think things over and wants everyone to stop moaning and just get on with it. in a positive light.
the way he expresses himself sometimes is less than sweet. but it is his rawness that makes him the manimal.
i do hope he comes back. i will keep you all posted if i hear anything, and i will write him that there is a discussion on board concerning him and his major impact!!

Manimal is a pretender… Its plain to see he doesnt apply the crap he says he just reads self help books…

One thing that has me a bit puzzled is the general reaction to Manimal. People would get all up in arms about his statements and his approach toward things…a lot of people. There have been full on Manimal bashing sessions. What puzzles me is why those people care. If someone is being an idiot, how is that your problem? Why would you let it affect you?
I stopped caring what people said or thought a long time ago, unless i can see an element of truth in it, in which case I learn from it. Spam is spam, and we all know how not to read something, or how to delete something.
Basically, by not caring what other people do you release yourself of the burden whether it is someone butting in a cue, talking behind your back, or being a bully. Something to think about. It has made my life much more enjoyable. I used to call it my instant retard theory. If someone does or says something stupid I see them as mentally handicapped and, as such, bear no grudge.

I agree with you Martijn – I don’t know Manimal outside of HE but sometimes he struck me as plain arrogant. Even though a lot of the things he said were probably true or at least had som reflection value to them, he had a very offensive and “better knowing” way of shoving them at people, sometimes it was as if he just wanted you to know that sure, you could have your opinions as long as you remembered that his were better. Maybe he’s really intelligent, or maybe he just wants to seem that way. (neckbeard?) Either way he came across as less than humble, and I didn’t think he seemed to respect the others. So to me it makes sense that he was banned, although he was a big part of the old HE.

Manimal was an interesting spirit. ‘Nuff said.

this thread seems ridiculous to me. I never liked Manimal, he approached everything as if he was obviously correct and was sure he had the answers, and if you didn’t see it how he did you were an idiot. No place for someone like that in my life, but apparently helped some people so to each their own. I don’t think he embodied what the site is really about, but as others have said it’s up to us how we react. “How people treat you is their karma, how you react is yours.”
Certainly not deserving of his own thread though, imo.
This reminds me a lot of the Alien51 situation, for those that were around during that time, I always kind of thought they were the same person.

@tangledupinplaid21, I can say I have learned the same thing from you. I am a very emotionally sensitive person so things people say can bug me easily then one day I remembered what manimal said and it occurred to me that I don’t have to dwell on these things. He really knows his stuff. I’m not trying to put him up on a pedestal, but only give him credit where it is deserved.

Some opinions and ideas aren’t welcome to all people. Big deal.
