@kellah, usually just forget you have one, go about your normal actives.
Maybe you are not eating right and not exercising or are under a lot of stress. All these things lower your immune system in the long run and can lead to relapse in sickness.
Maybe, since you’ve been having what seems like relapses, you should go to the doctor, you could have an infection.
@kellah, go to your grocery/pharmacy look for the epsom bath salts usually located near the rubbing alcohol, buy the big 4lb box along with witch hazel (right next to rubbing alchol) and go home. Heat your bath tub up to as hot of water as you can stand and add in a generous amount of witch hazel (natural astingent, good amount of rubbing alcohol, and smells kinda good) no more then a fl oz. then pour in 1 1/2 – 2 lbs of epsom salts, take a generous gulp of water to hydrate yourself and enter the bath. Enjoy, it will be hot but its good for you stay in for atleast a half hour and just soak your entire body. Ignore actually bathing just soak in the water and once its lost its heat and you are fully pruned exit the tub and dry off. Huddle in your towel for 5 to 10 mins as you will be sweating profusely as it slows down you can begin to put on clothes. Put on a tight inner layer with a number of layers on top. The goal is to sweat but within minutes you will have to remove layers that are soaking wet. This will last about an hour. Sweat the sickness out with epsom salts and the electrolytes should help you feel better as well. Also you don’t have to use epsom salts though i reccommend them for cost and effectiveness. If you have himalayan red rock salt lying around then by all means but sea salt works too.
Fasting or minimal eating, keeps the mucus at a minimum and shortens the duration of the sickness.
Also, use lots of stuff like garlic, ginger, horseradish, hot mustard, cayenne, apple cider vinegar.
You’ll feel your sinus cavities clearing up quickly, which is pretty much THE symptom that makes it feel bad.
A cold is nothing, it’s easy to take care of.
Lots of good advice here.. I agree, @rickvonstar, the moment you decide, “I’m sick, I’m going to bed” is the moment your immune system shuts down and symptoms get worse.
2 cloves of fresh minced garlic tossed back with some cayenne pepper really gets rid of those first symptoms for me, but now I realize that its just mental.. its always been mental.
BTW once I tried that garlic trick with the pre-peeled cloves out of a BAG which made me feel MUCH worse.. shows the difference between raw and processed foods, again probably just mental.
Like people said, drink water, make sure you eat raw fruit and any raw food, drink tea, take large doses of vitamin c all day, relax and be confident your body will share the love :)
..and smoking weed does actually relax the tubes and is highly effective for treating asthma!
