I just looked at the traffic report for today and reddit sent a TON of people to HE. It’s mentioned in an article about thought-provoking websites:
If you have a reddit account, it’d be awesome if you could vote up this post Thanks HEthens!

I’m really not worried about that for the same reason that we haven’t had many problems with trolls or spam. It’s an open but also tight-knit community that is built for the minority. Many people on here hadn’t met anyone like them before finding HE — this stuff only really appeals to a small % of the population. Even if traffic blows up, only true HEthen material will get involved with the site instead of just perusing.
…and if it does get extremely big, then I will be ecstatic because I want this type of material to reach as many eyes as possible :)
How awesome would it be, if this sites popularity grew, and networks like MTV, started shutting down, and places like McDonalds, and Best Buy, and all the screwed up places, that are forcing our society to become zombies to their product starts shutting down, because people start to realize how stupid and pointless these things are, and how it is killing us all? That would be so awesome! GROW HE! GROW!!!!
@Ryan, I have a half-written article about everything I’m going to do with HE. The changes are expansive, but they keep the HE experience intact. The goal is to make HE the ULTIMATE enlightening/mind-blowing/positive content aggregate on the web by implementing user-generated content beyond discussions (pics, videos, quotes, links, user blog posts and something I’m going to call ‘random acts of kindness’). The other half will be making the HE user experience as fluid and simple as possible, even beyond the usability of Facebook.
I’m going to be rolling out a fairly large update once Buddypress 1.5 comes out (should be in the next few weeks), but the long-term plan is to have it coded from scratch so I can have ever single crevice of this site designed like I want it.
