Revolution Lost

I am not naught but destined to die
An atom’s an atom
Wherever it flies

I have painted myself from nothing
But I’m already dry
My revolution stiffens on the brush

A blueprint a collaboration
For a monolith with edges that blur
A pillar to hold the platform

I’m a naughty, naughty boy
Who does not study economics
Who’s caught in the world wide web

See the arachnid reaper creep to me
His silken weave so soft to skin
Binding, though

I’m a hunk of squalling red flesh
Just from the millennial womb
With my clitoris circumcised

So I can’t feel society fucking me
Nor passion entering me

Earth’s a canvas with a corner painted
With the shit of the rainbow spectrum
I will wield the reds and aquas
The magenta and azure
Before I see this canvas rot

The only place I am free
The light upon this blackened sea
Is in the beacon eyes of another

When glint and tinder meet
And I’m on fire
My fetters burnt
Even the dregs of love
Could ignite a sea
