I have, for the better part of the past year or so been getting some very random ear phenomenon. Occasionally I’ll get this ringing as if you’re standing behind an old tv coming from inside my head. Happens when awake during the day and at night, especially when trying to sleep on my back. Also, I’ll very rarely get something else. It feels as if someone just turned all the nobs on an equalizer in my ears down for a second. Sound changes dramatically and returns to normal leaving me feeling a bit disoriented. Tinitus? Ascension? Fucked up ears? my few thoughts on this strange condition |

Tinitus was my first thought. |

@sayamushy, I have a slight tinnitus, but I only hear it if I focus on it. For me it’s like a wave of mixed ringing, hissing and fizzing noise, it comes and goes and at the highest, it’s unbearable. But I find I can control it, it only culminates if I let it. Yours sounds different though. How loud is it? Does it get worse after exposure to loud music, or is it pretty much the same? |

Oh, my ringing is not like yours. It isnt affected by music. I get a strange feeling in my head, very slight but noticable, when it happens. It is only every a high pitch humming [like the back of an old tube tv, you know that sound]. I havent had any ear trauma or anything that I know of. And sometimes it accompanies trying to sleep and gets to the point where I feel like my head will explode. I alway thought this was the precursor to achieving OBE, but I always feel like my brain vessels will burst and I will die before I can ever break free. That sort of thinking… this ringing is weird. edit* seems weird that it just developed out of nowhere. Unless my legal substance abuse in japan could have been a catalyst. Ive talked to other people who get it randomly as well but not had their whole life, only recently. Coincidence? I probably just have tinitus. Too many fun nights >.> |

@sayamushy, idiopathic tinnitus, then. |

Ah! that must be it. I forgot to mention the inside of my ear will rumble sporadically, as if the muscle that muffles sound when you yawn is being flexed over and over again in quick succession for a few second. This must be my problem. damn |

ive had this high sound for years now. esp when i meditate i hear it. it is the sound of the universe. the NADA it is called. and the reason more people are hearing it now is that the frequency of the planet is augmenting apparently or so ive been told as we approuch the end of this 2012, |

I still can’t figure that shit out. http://www.highexistence.com/topic/why-do-people-say-your-ears-ring-when-others-are-talking-about-you/ Maybe it’s a little more than a superstition. |
