Homosexual Thoughts While High

2 years, 3 months ago

So my friend and I hung out the other day and mentioned that when he was high on marijuana, he had a homosexual thought while looking at his other friend. BTW my friend is straight.

I was interested in this notion, and wandered if the same thing has happened to one of my fellow HEthens…

So the question:

Have you ever had a homosexual thought when you were high?

@whotheneighbors, I dont know how old you or your friend are, but most people who are teens or maybe in their early 20’s, it is normal to question their sexuality. To me, such a thought is part of the path to better understanding yourself. The fact that it happened while your friend was high may be pure coincidence of timing… I would hesitate to say that marijuana was the direct REASON for having the thought, though some might argue that when youre high, you tend to think more outside-your-box, which could’ve prompted the thought.

of course. and sometimes cross-dream-thoughts about switching gender. And then being homosexual, which through double negation, makes it heterosexual again?? I dunno. Be curious…

Yeah I sometimes get high and wonder what it would be like to have sex with another man – although i don’t really have anyone specifically in mind when I think about it. Its just this nameless, faceless guy. The conclusion I came to was that even though I have never been attracted to another man ever in my life, I could wind up meeting somebody at any point in time, and if it feels right, I may as well go for it.

Honestly I have a gay best friend and he has hooked up with about 20 “straight” guys but only when they were high on some drug… First we meet the dude..he acts super straight everything is cool then all of a sudden he gets high and BAM! Its like drugs make men homosexual. After seeing it happen time and time again with my gay friend and so many different “straight” guys I began to think every guy is having gay thoughts when they are on drugs…honestly i hate thinking that way…and it makes me paranoid that when my bf gets high he’s thinking about hooking up with other men… I mean he has never done anything to make himself seem anything other than straight but from what I have witnessed….the thoughts are sometimes there unfortunately.

1986:

“Marijuana leads to homosexuality, the breakdown of the immune system, and therefore to AIDS.” —Carlton Turner, US Drug Czar

We were warned…

But seriously… I have had homosexual thoughts while or while not high occasionally. More a curious “what if” scenario that anything I would act on. It’s a normal part of being a human. I love women, and sex with women. I have had plenty of gay guys hit on me, which is flattering but weird. Your friend should just learn to know himself and know that those thoughts are normal, and if they are part of who he is, no shame in acting on them. We are sexual beings…

The problem isn’t imagining getting fucked in the ass, it’s believing that imagining getting fucked in the ass is a problem.

Hormone confusion. But don’t be such a square it’s normal to have confusing sexual thoughts especially if your subconscious mind doesn’t like you.

You can be physically attracted to males and be totally straight! If we can be physically attracted to a lion’s mane or a serpent or like a wolf, why not a male’s structure? Same shit you got going on, how are you going to be sexually confident if you think a male’s body is unattractive? (You’d have to have one megalithic ego) Aha, the folly of homophobia crumbles away.

Just don’t let anyone fuck you in the ass. that’s gay because it’s going overboard on the pleasure of being submissive. Not very manly stuff. You have some shit to get over if you genuinely like being reemed by another dude.

Most people have them, but most probably wouldn’t admit to it for fear of being judged.

I know there are a few people who are completely heterosexual out there, but if most of us are completely honest our sexuality is fluid to a certain degree.

If something happens, then something happens!

I hooked up with another dude once just to see what it was all about. Didn’t enjoy it but it doesn’t mean I’d completely rule the idea out from happening again.

But yeah, weed will bring a lot of different thoughts out haha.

@whotheneighbors,

There is something called the kinsey scale, which displays a scale from gay to straight and everything in between. Even a-sexual. Thankfully many people in western countries allow themselves to explore their sexuality, and sometimes even the society approves.
Drugs and alcohol free you of your inhibitions making it okay to think about it or even to experiment. In my opinion you should also be free to explore this while being sober, even if you don’t want to be open about it.

I know many guys and girls who are open about experimenting or being gay, bi or straight. People sometimes change their minds again later in life. And some are just gay when the’re drunk :P

I personally believe most people are not completely straight or gay. And besides the physical attraction there is an emotional and spiritual attraction, which is sometimes stronger with people from the same sex.

Aren’t we all spiritual beings in a body?
