Holy shit! How many of you are familiar with this guy? Some of his words will offend people, but he certainly has a message. I heard of him a while ago but never actually bothered to listen to his music until today when a friend sent me this song and I finally took a listen. Take a listen for yourself and pay attention to what he’s saying:
@chodebalm, hopsin is the shit. listen to noctural rainbows :)
Yeah Hopsin is pretty raw, I heard this when it first came out months ago, I was amazed by it ahaha. It truly is a great rap and what hes talking about is pretty amazing.
I went to go see him on his Funk Tour in Toronto, but the fucker didn’t get over the border in time for the show, so i never ended up seeing him. Glad you shared this! :)
@kellah, thats one of my favs for sure :)
@kellah, Just listened. Great song. Thanks for suggesting it. I’m checkin out his other songs now.
@chodebalm, He’s a real dude. Well, spits some real stuff. I can appreciate his message for the most part too. He gets hated on but whatever.
He’s good at what he does, and his lyrics are pretty damn great at times.
But that hater video “Kill mind of Hopsin” made a lot of good points as well, he talks the talk but he’s clearly pulling most of it out his ass.
Still, I like his material, it’s good shit.
yea, i really enjoy him, very good, clever
have you heard this one?
I like how the rap is a parody of the culture encompassing rap. :)
@tine, No, I hadn’t heard this one yet. Thanks for sharing!
Hopsin is definitely rising in popularity because his whole idea is having purpose/meaning and a message. some of his songs are just the same as any rap today and aren’t that great but he set up his own style (raw) and is coming through as a fresh new artist. Haywire, Raw, Ill mind of, etc are interesting albums. His contacts certainly make himself different and interesting. He even has a ton of instrumental beats which are fun to freestyle to. He keeps it real. My favorites are ill mind…5, nocturnal rainbows, lucifer effect, leave me alone.
@kellah, that’s probably the best song in the album ;)
@chodebalm, Well now I know what I’m doing today…listening to Hopsin! Awesome, thanks!
@chodebalm, Hopsins dope :)
Look up, K-Rino, Canibus, Atma, Masta Buildas, The Lost Children of Babylon, Immortal Technique, Army of the Pharaohs, and Vinnie Paz. They all spit knowledge..
@chodebalm, heard this about 2 months ago. this guy is sick nasty, its what rap needs to get the message out that others dont talk about
if you guys are digging hopsins message; i’m sure you’ll enjoy this one too:
truly amazing, ESP the video that accompanies it. whole thing just blows my mind.
my whole high school experience was characterized by rap music and its messages. a bunch of white rich kids listening to lil wayne, turning to dealing drugs and smoking blunts all day.
He’s good at rapping but he seems like he’s trying a little bit too hard, makes him seem like a hypocrite because he IS still sort of doing the same shit as the ones he’s talking about in his raps, also i could never take him seriously because of those fucking lenses – what’s his deal? still, can’t argue with skill
