I wanna be yo friend.
So, I like you guys. This website is fun and I seem to have a lot in common with a lot of you. I think I get on here more than Facebook now since I’ve gotten the hang of it. BUT, I almost wish it wasn’t a website. I wish I could pick a few of you and just meet in person and hang out. (But then again I still sometimes kinda have that fear in my head from being brainwashed by my dad that everyone on the internet is a creepy rapist.)
I wish the people I know on Facebook were more like the people on this site. I’m down to be friends. We may be thousands of miles apart, but that’s ok! Ya never know where you’ll end up on this planet.
@meghan, @cosmicloner, I like the people (and talk to them, as a result) on this website more than the majority of the people I have friended on facebook. My inner circle is countable on my hands, and I haven’t even talked about some of the stuff I talk about on here to them (half of my inner circle knows about my trips, for instance).
I think that there could be potential for like a video chat ‘Hangout’ on Google+ if people were willing to actually friend people on an exterior website. Those things can house like 9 people (10 with you) so that would be a pretty decent option, and it has IM as well as video and voice.
Believe me, I’m not a creepy stalker. Just ask the women tied up in my basem….I mean, my ‘friends’
@cosmicloner, haha okay! sounds great. And I agree, I mean I have cool friends and everything but I wish I knew more people that were more like me.
SO down to be friends. I love being intentionally awkward around new people.
@meghan, alright so why don’t you just buy us all plane tickets to some place and we can all meet up and hangout. I’m down for it.
I like this idea :) also, @meghan, I’m currently in the midwest as well, so that’s a start! lol
You guys are awesome lol I am I the only one who has thought of this?
Actually I guess that would require exchanging addresses, which makes me look like the creepy rapist now.
@meghan, well why don’t we start with city/state or city/country
Okay I’m in Springfield, Missouri
@meghan, where my notification at?
Currently: Panama City, Florida
I used to live in St. Louis! AND in Florida! Now I’m in Chicago. So crazy. I wish the world were filled with our kind.
@lytning91, Oops I forget sometimes. is that close to the ocean? :D
@hazyjames, I wish that too! St Louis is fun! And I have been to Chicago once. I liked it too, but don’t think I would want to live there
@meghan, YEAHHHHHHHH GURRRRRRRR (the I prefer a nice, cold, clear spring to the ocean anyday)
@lytning91, I like the lake too and there is a creek by my house. But I love the ocean. I love the waves and the sand. And i love looking and seeing nothing but water. It fascinates me
@meghan, I hate the salt and the foreign debris.
However, I love sitting alone by the ocean at night, listening to the symphony of waves crashes and admiring the majesty of its depth; black as the night sky but shimmering from the moon’s glow with a scent more intoxicating than the richest of wines.
@lytning91, You’re making me really jealous!
I live on the 18th floor of my apartment complex with a view that looks over lake michigan. It’s beautiful here. The other week we had heat lightning that was crazy, it was crashing into the lake and clouds were speeding by, but not a sound in the air. Eerily quiet. So cool
@meghan, I’m making me jealous: I live near it but by about an hour and change. I currently don’t have money to drive all the way there on a whim and I could hardly justify driving there alone.
I let it happen naturally, through happenstance…it feels more intense, I guess. It feel more connected, spiritual perhaps
I’m currently in northern New York, soon to be driving all the way back to my hometown, Colorado Springs. I’m a nomad.
@hazyjames, lucky Chicago is awesome.
