Introducing SCBarrus

Hey, I recently found this site, and I immediately fell in love with it, with the information within, and with the manner of discussion here. So different and refreshing compared to most of the internet.

So, I joined up, and have been perusing the discussions and found the ‘introduce yourself’ category, so I’ll do just that.

In the literary world, I go by S.C. Barrus, because I think it sounds more scholarly than Cody Barrus. I’m working hard on starting my writing career, and thus far I have been published in a few magazines and compilations, including Line Zero (www.linezero.org), and Bricolage.

I am currently writing by debut novel, "Everything Else by the Wayside", and have been for three years now. It’s a tough one to describe, but I am heavily influenced by the works of Hermann Hesse, Kurt Vonnegut, Flannery O’connor and many others.
