I’ve read numerous articles on this and am past the point of disgust and have just broken down into hysteria at the fact that this is where we spend our time and energy.
Don’t worry, it’s not true.
Even if the earthquake side of the story isn’t true, they are still bombarding the ionosphere with extremely intense and high frequency waves, that heat it up and cause it to warp. When the U.S. tested the first atomic bomb, they weren’t sure whether or not it would ignite the atmosphere and kill everyone but they gave it a whack anyway. Dont you think we should stop poking the bear so to speak?
I agree that there are risks involved, but that goes for everything. The ionosphere is constantly bombarded with intense frequence waves, the universe is quite hostile to our fragile lives, and so the quest for knowledge, understanding and control is quite a valid one, and we have been doing that since we can remember. We never ever not poked the bear, and I doubt stopping is possible of feasible.
Now, of course not every risk is the same, and each case should be considered individually. But I doubt this one will have an impact :)
