With the new laws in colorado and washington, i was thinking about what it would be like if weed were legal federally. If this happened, we would obviously have a lot of farmers willing to cultivate it, and we would have a huge, legal industry for it. Which would be awesome. But does anyone else think that it could end up like the tobacco industry? Do you think they would ever start putting additives in marijuana or making it super addictive and ultimately really unhealthy? I just think that if it were legal, even though it would give us who smoke a lot more freedom, it could potentially turn into a dishonest business, which makes me really afraid of the future almost. Tell me your thoughts.

@taylornaragon, If it were made legal federally, it would also mean- like every other crop- you could grow it yourself.

Big companies would definitely fuck it up, but I’m sure you could still get your hands on good shit from small farmers.

I think the small grower’s infrastructure is already there and it won’t go away over night. Hopefully it remains small- and ultimately that is up to consumers. I think it could really help local economies.
