Looking For 3 HighExistence.com Interns
**The application process is now closed**
I’m looking for 3 interns to help bring HE to the next level :)
Social Media Intern – In charge of posting as HE on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Reddit & StumbleUpon. Also manages the weekly email newsletter (coming regularly to you all soon!) You should have at least one social media account with a large number of followers in order to apply for this one.
Editor Intern – In charge of communicating with potential and current guest writers, editing drafts and assigning publishing dates/times. You can also create the article image if you’re up for the task. Writing samples required.
Advertising Intern – In charge of contacting websites, businesses and organizations that would fit with the message of HE, and would like to advertise on HE. The more ad revenue comes in, the faster HE can grow to what I’ve had planned for a while. Unconventional contests, events and a whole bunch of extra functionality for the site that I can’t code myself.
These will be unpaid internships but expect very HE-esque bonuses :) I’ll also write a smashing letter of recommendation for you on request.
If you’re interested, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with answers to these questions:
1) Who are you? What’s your story?
**Thank you and much love to Phil Drolet over at The Feel Good Lifestyle for inspiring me to bring HE to the next level**
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
Hi @jordan, is this a work from home internship or we have to work in an office? How long is this internship going to last (from a few weeks to months)?
@tungtungc, You will work from home. I’m open to internships as short as 3 months, or as long as you like.
No thanks, I like what I’m doing already ;)
If Anything related to accounting or finance ever opens up, I’ll be glad to help.
Hey @jordan, Instead of focusing mainly on advertising maybe you could start a small online H.E store with the stuff people from H.E have made.
I will be including this idea along with a couple others in my email to you. ;)
@educationforall, I’m incorporating HE for tax purposes in December, so I think there might be a need for accounting. Please send an email to email@example.com with a bit more info on your experience/knowledge so we can talk more. Thanks!
@jordan, For some reason I am unable to send an email to the address provided. But I am completely 100% interested in the position.
When do you think we shall be hearing back from you?
@kyle, I’m getting a hailstorm of applications right now so I’m going to wait another day or two before I start the process of elimination. Latest by Monday.
How many hours per week do you estimate interns will work? I have a full-time job right now, but would love the experience and opportunity to work with you.
@bostontonic, 4-6 hours a week at most. Nothing too serious, but you’ll still learn a lot and help HE tremendously :)
I don’t know how I’d contribute. I hate advertising, I’d love to be an editor, but I’m afraid school would get in the way with anything regular.
I would like to learn how to present things in the social media for maximum absorption… but I don’t know.
I’m sure you have all the help you need, though. If you ever need a chemist (lulz) here I am. Or a plant biologist for that matter.
@ijesuschrist, You do enough good on HE already man. But if you have any tips on getting LSD out of ergot fungus, there are some people at Valhalla who would love to hear them!
Social media is easy:
- Post in regular intervals (every 2-4 hours)
After a while you learn what will get big and what won’t.
All potential interns, if you don’t see an email from me, check your spam/junk folder!
@jordan, It’s not in there. Haven’t got Your reply yet.
I’m more than excited just to apply!! :)
@kyle, fucking stellar idea dude! My wife just got an embroidery machine a month back. W can arrange for screen printing too. :P
@educationforall, Let me know if you still don’t see a reply
@jordan Are you still accepting applications?
