Last night I tried to attempt some form of lucid dreaming. For about 20 minutes or so I allowed my mind to clear and I fell into a trance like state. There was a sudden moment inside my head where it felt as though my mind fell upwards? It’s kind of hard to explain lol but I hope you understand. And then I was in a state where I could feel my body was twitching and I could hear myself snoring but my mind actually felt completely disconnected from my body and I was not consciously controlling those actions. It was pretty cool. Has anyone else experienced something similar or know what it is I experienced?

Sounds like sleep paralysis, one of the first steps to achieving your goal :) I myself however have very limited experience with this but from what I’ve studied, that’s where you are.

I was having bad sleep paralysis last night as well. I was having dreams that were occurring in my room so I couldn’t tell the difference between the dream and reality easily. This happened a few times with me having to make a physical effort to wake myself up – sitting up in bed. After a while I realised that I was in a dream again and then it changed and I immediately went to fly. It lasted about 30 seconds but then I woke up again.

I’ve never deliberately tried to lucid dream before so that was my first real experience of it. I almost completely forgot about it until someone else was saying they had trouble sleeping last night.

@misterkal wow sounds like a kinda cool experience. It’s awesome you achieved that too without even trying to lucid dream… I’ve made so many attempts and this is the closest I’ve got.
