MDMA/Ecstasy– Good idea or bad?

@angelinaballerina, it depends on what mindset you have when you take it. I feel like you have to be mature when you take it and take it as a learning experience. It can make you feel so alive and real, and it makes you accept everything. Then you can learn from it when you are sober so you can feel that way when you are not on it.
Then you have those people who take it and love it so much they abuse it and take it a lot. You just need to be responsible and mature about it and take 5htp and vitamin C with it.
MAKE sure u take 5htp and vitamin c its so important or else you can feel depressed during your comedown.
@angelinaballerina, It depends on a lot of things.
How old are you?
What is your history/background?
What kind of Ecstasy (dosage)?
Where do you want to take it?
In what kind of mindstate?
What are you other experiences with drugs?
Are you prone to addictions?
For what purposes do you want to take it?
Etc. etc. etc.
@filipek, 18, most likely pokeballs. I will probably take it with my close friend who has taken it before. I am planning on taking it sober of everything else. I have mostly had experince with weed and alcohol, but I have also expeimented with perscrition meditcaions (i.e. xanax, vicodin, oxycotion).
@angelinaballerina, How many mg is the pill? And in what kind of environment are you planning to take it? I mean, if it is at home, it is different then when it is on a festival. I have only been taking XTC on parties/festival with good music. Anyway, you should not start with too much at a time, dependent on the type of pill, you could start with a half, or a quarter or something like that and then take some more later (take 50 to 100 mg as starters).
What do you want to achieve with it? I mean, what do you expect to happen, and what do you want to do when on X? Do you want to have sex? Do you want to dance ? Do you just want to chill at home not doing anything special?
@filipek, Well I live in the middle of a redwood forrest so maybe just in the woods. or maybe in a hotel room with my close friends. I dont really know what to expect I guess. I dont exactly know what I want out of it also. I just want to experience it in the optimum way.
@angelinaballerina, Good that you do not have expectations, that is important. Do not expect anything, just take it as it will come to you.
Anyway, I do not know what you mean with experiencing it in the optimum way, I mean, I could not imagine taking X just in a hotel room with close friends or outside in the woods. For me it is undoubtedly connected with partying on good music, with many many people around with whom you can share the ecstasy feelings that you are experiencing.
If you are doing it with experienced friends then it should be safe I guess, so have fun with whatever you will achieve with it.
Bad idea! I never get tired to tell people to not take drugs!
It’s nothing to do with moral values… It’s just not good for your health and your mind. When you can choose having real conversations, real moments, real views about what is happening, why choose for fake?
When you take ecstasy you get a real strong feeling of empathy, happiness and satisfaction. Everything feels really great! You love people you hated before, you never get tired of dancing, you feel really connected to everybody around you.
Although the people that are in the same room as you and not on the effect of the drug, are going to see you like a monster… the face expressions people do while on x effect are horrendous! The same people you are loving and feeling connected with, have no connection with you, no sympathy for how you feel… simply don’t share the same feelings!
It’s not like when you go somewhere, you have a real conversation with a person and this person instigates in you sympathy, love and happiness… When someone makes you laugh, the conversation matches and you get a real connection that can go on for life. Actually ecstasy stops you from having such conversations and possibilities.
Then it comes the physical effect. You don’t get tired, you never get enough of dancing or doing whatever the drug effect brings you to do… This is totally unnatural and you are forcing your body to go on – this material being that carries your person and is the most important part of being you… so you are harming a crucial part of yourself!
I laid on a hard concrete floor for 7 hrs on the effect of ecstasy!!! The pain I had the day after on the half of my body was terrible! Mostly on my head.
When you do such negative step towards your health and life, you are attracting only negativity. It’s just obvious to see that you are opting for negativity when you take such drug! What can you get from something that brings you fake feelings and harm your health? Definitely nothing good!
So think about what I said! Life is absolutely wonderful! There are plenty of meaningful experiences waiting for you out there… experiences that will bring you much more beautiful memories and feelings than any drug could ever fake!
@prittii, I agree with you in essence, because I have a similar stand towards drug use, BUT there is nothing wrong in trying and experiencing something new. I mean, I am glad that I have experienced xtc, and frankly it has given me personally a lot of good insights, and the things I used to be able to achieve only with xtc, I am now able to achieve without, therefore not needing the drug anymore. BUT I highly doubt I would be at such a state right now, if I would never had tried xtc before.
Disclaimer; don’t take me seriously, I’m only speaking from my personal experience.
Ecstasy is really fun when you’re on it. It can help you love everything and everyone while you’re on it (as has been said). That however doesn’t mean it’s perfect. As others have mentioned the comedown can be heart-breaking. Of course that it doesn’t necessarily mean that you’ll experience that, but be ready for at least a little dehydration (there’s not enough water in the Atlantic ocean to keep a raver hydrated) and maybe a headache. I’ve spent 3 days coming down before, and I’ve never been so sad in my life. Other times I’ve woken up the next day feeling alright, and have felt totally recovered within a few hours of waking up. One of the biggest problems with ecstasy is that it is more often than not cut with another drug (this is in my experience, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong). I’ve taken ecstasy cut with meth, heroin, ketamine, and who knows what else (I don’t). Pretty gritty, right? If you know who you’re getting it from make sure to ask them what’s in it (this doesn’t mean that what they tell you will be correct, but it’s a step in the right direction). If you can’t find out for certain in person, there is a registry online containing thousands of ecstasy tablets identifiable by the impression made on the top of the pill and color, this should help you — http://www.pillreports.com/index.php?page=search_reports
Having said all of that I was addicted to ecstasy and molly for two years and my brain is still recovering from all the serious harm I did to it. That being the case I still think it’s a pretty groovy experience and wouldn’t say that to convince anyone not to take it, but rather to be cautious. In conclusion, be safe and have fun. :)
P.S. drink water
Dont live in fear of dogma like Prittii describes in her post, do what you want to do just be safe and most importantly have fun :D you’re just another human, nothing special nor less so make do with the existence you’ve been given.
“say what you want ho you’re grownnnn. you make decisions on your owwwn. Noone will suffer but youuuu.
So do what the fuck you wanna dooo”
