the rioters are twats. little kids who think they can take what they want because they are bored.

fucking idiots. i want stuff….i dont have money….but i am going to have to earn it like everyone else.

these kids should be punished my being forced to go into the army, i dont care if they die…and they could pay back our country and make money whilst showing a slight bit of respect.

noone has money. we are in a recession. and now we are wasting money on stopping these dicks. greatttttt really helpful.

i kinda wanted to get hundreds of people to go to a town, and all wear peace tshirts or something, and each person restrain one dick, then wait for police to come pick them up.

failing that, wait till they are rioting and then go and rob there homes….hahaha

i dont really want them to die….or rob there homes…but they made me very angry.

All of these riots are just a sign that a new world is coming. Sure, it comes back to money, but then I ask, Should it really have to? And the fact that noone has money is just not true. There is an infinite amount of money in the world if we want there to be! There are enough resources in the world to put everyone in a high standard of living, except because of money so many precious resources are wasted because noone paid for it, or money wasnt made. I feel for anyone that was hurt in these riots, but at the same time, they aren’t pointless. Soon it will be happening in America. There is a world revolution occuring, and I think the end result is no countries. Just planet Earth..The way it should be.

Alex, I really hope you are right about that. I have longed for a world where money was irrelevant and people did things because they actually cared, no borders, no political party ideals, no borders to cause even more separation and anger. But, that is just the idealist in me, though maybe it will happen someday. :)

I don’t think these riots are a sign of anything, other than there are idiot opportunists waiting for their chance to cause destruction and loot things. Any reason that it may have started with is rendered null the minute they turn violent, their cause is forgotten when these idiots show up. I think any “revolution” that is like this will only strengthen the system, a majority of people fear situations like this and when the people are fearful they look to the system to protect them and the system is happy to oblige.

Hey alex i would argue against that, not to sound boring but theres a statistic somewhere that this planet could only support abt 2 billion people if all wanted to lead an average european life.

as to the riots, mehh i feel like this momentum would not be there if the energy of youngsters was properly channeled, this is what you get when society tries to filter and concentrate low-income unproperly educated youth and expect them to not get in the way of modern england. ofcourse im generalizing, please let me kno if im assuming something that i shouldn’t be.

Sure, except every new world has (sadly) been a result of violence. Why is there an America? Or why does America not have slaves? I will ALWAYS preach peace to anyone resorting to violence, but I cannot deny the impact that it has. It’s sad things are like that, but they just are. The peaceful protesters make a difference, and thats the spreading of information, of good thoughts, but when it comes down to it, how many times have peaceful people turned the world around? It just doesn’t happen. There is always turmoil before a change. The negative always before the positive. You can’t have a mass change like the one we are going through, and not expect some amount of violence. We can hope for it, but expecting it is just unrealistic.

@ Ye7ia kh. I don’t know where you got that info from, but it’s just untrue. The only reason things couldn’t be supported is because of the monetary system. There are plentiful resources on this earth for everyone to have a car, have their own home, eat comfortably, and enjoy their lives. Greed will always be an issue however, i fear.

@ Matt. I sure hope so too. The signs are there though. Cultural boundaries are disintegrating. Communication between differing languages is getting easier, and the world economy is essentially transitioning to level out. (we just think it sucks, because we’ve been in a position of great wealth for so long)

These are just my thoughts on the issue though. Change is eminent. Never really before has the entire world been put through a type of ‘revolution’ like this before.

@Alex I agree with the things about slaves and america but those people had a clear cause and fought specifically for that. America declared it’s intention to break away from England and the fight was brought to us, the civil rights movement had a very clear cause: equality, and the pioneers of that struggle tried peacefully to bring that about (for the most part) even Malcolm X said: “Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone lays a hand on you, send him to the cemetery.” Their fight only came about because peaceful means failed. All that’s happening in London right now is hooligans bent on destruction and stealing. I’m sure the good ones are still their too, but their cause is overshadowed by the violence.
