Need some good “self-improvement” things for a friend

3 years, 6 months ago

Hey guys, I have a friend that has some self-confidence issues and wants some advice, but I don’t know exactly what advice to give him. I need some good ideas, whether its personal advice or a website, or maybe just a way of thinking– anything helps :)
Thanks in advance guys :)

How about his self image is just a self image and instead of focusing on his self image why not focus on his unique human faculties? Allow them to posses and dominate his existence and to hell with self image?

That’s what I’d tell him.

Tell him not to worry so much about how he perceives himself or how others perceive him but instead focus the things that make him unique, his skills n talents, express those let the rest go to hell

You could help him conquer a fear or self-limiting belief. A lot of what turned my life around was my willingness, if even for a moment, to face any type of anxiety or fear that I knew held me back.

Meditation is also something I’m sure almost everyone on this site would suggest.
