New Website – Complete!

@jpete011, all I can say is fair play. The website looks unbelievable. What I have to say, though, is that I’ve seen a couple of these sites, based around goal setting and achieving your dreams, and I haven’t seen any of them succeed yet to be honest.

I think your site needs is more definition, and “oomph”. What sets you apart from the rest? You need to define it more. To be honest right now it seems too much like HE. Why would someone go and use your website as opposed to using HE or some other personal development forum?

Other than that your going to have to work like hell marketing it to get the amount of traffic to it that you’ll need. Maybe you could ask @jordan for some advice?

All in all I’ve huge respect for the work you’ve put in. I especially love your Greatness List. It’s given me some good ideas. I think it would be a worthwhile exercise for all of us to do. Hope you take something from this! :)

@jpete011, Got it. The number one thing that I like about the site is that you post videos! It’s really unique to put a face and voice to the site — that’s something that I should do going forward with my website.

A couple of things that I think you can improve on:
-When I click on the other links, it starts using an IP address as the domain. Are you hosting it locally or something? Gotta make sure you set up the right domain masking..I’m not too sure how that works though.

-Less videos. I loved the video aspect, but for the cold shower one, I don’t want to sit there and watch over 3 videos. Maybe you should do 1 in the beginning to voice your thoughts, and then one at the end to reflect on. Now that would be awesome!

-Theme. Take a look at ThemeForest.com — there’s a lot of high quality themes that you can use and then tweak to your liking. The theme is you have is okay, but i think with one of these it’ll make things 10x more appealing.

Just my two cents, but I love where you’re heading with this. Especially the Greatness List..haha go to space? Let me know when you go..I’m down.

@jpete011, Thanks for the feedback. I can definitely see that..would it help if I made it into a PDF guide so that people would be expecting something more concrete? Or do you think I should just shorten the message and then post the whole thing as an article?

Also..Good stuff on the Podcasts! I’m checking them out right now, I think that’s a great idea.
