@Mike Nope. It gets reabsorbed into your body. Do you think cavemen jacked off and ejaculated all the time? They couldn’t take that risk. The same applies to all other mammals. There’s nothing dangerous about keeping your swimmers where they belong. The dead sperms are redistributed to your body. |

I’m so glad I started the previous masturbation thread. I love how all it takes is posing a question to someone with a different point of view to inspire you to improve and change your ways. I’m in for the challenge too. Let’s let the testosterone levels build up! HORMONES!!!!! |

And all it takes for semen retention is a strong PC muscle? If so, I might train it and give it a try (even if I don’t succeed the first time). Other questions: |

Is anyone only doing this challenge to see how it affects them. I have a severe distrust for most of the benefits listed here. I think there a just as many “proven” benefits of masturbation as there are “proven” cons. End of a long day, ejaculating (sex or masturbation) helps put me to sleep. I have gone weeks in the past without, but I can’t say I noticed any extraordinary effects. I’ll leave an article here for you HEathens to read. http://themodernsavage.com/2009/02/04/effects-of-male-masturbation-on-attracting-women/ |

@Vasco It takes more than a strong PC muscle. What is edging? If you’re referring to those stretching devices then no. When you start out you will still bust your nut, but as you keep practicing the ejaculation will go away. At first you might have to rely on special techniques, then you’ll be able to do it with your muscles only, and lateryou can do it with nothing but your mind, and when you master it it will be automatic default mode. |

I am down. I am coming to a conclusion that porn is really bad for the soul. I am not saying sex is bad, but porno can be pretty fucked up. |
|
| Vasco B
@Manimal Ok, I’ll give it a go and see how it works out for me. Edging is when you masturbate / have sex almost until orgasm, then stop before the ‘point of no return’, wait a few moments and start again. Some people say they can last for hours with this technique. |

@Vasco Oh, then hell yes that’s pretty much crucial. Mindfulness + edging is what will let you really pinpoint your “point of no return.” The point of no return is where the ejaculation starts, the orgasm takes place just before this. Just remember to breathe deeply and slowly. Another thing you must learn is “the draw” which comes in two variations “the cool draw” and “the big draw.” The cool draw is used every now and then to release the pressure up into your body, you will feel chills up your spine. The big draw is used when orgasming, with the same purpose, this takes a lot of training and you will feel a hot rush through your body. When you get good with both these techniques you can go on forever (or until one of you passes out, which is a really cool experience) |

I’m in, and wow I didn’t realise stopping ejaculation was an actual technique. |

@Benny There’s no stopping the orgasm involved, only the ejaculation. |

Yeah It was kind of a typo, those words are associated with each other and get mixed up, I edited it. |

@Manimal any way you can restore the damage taken from ejaculation? Or are you doomed to a shorter life if you have? |

What’s done is done. There’s no way back. What you can do to “compensate” is to simply be healthy, that will allow you to live longer. We simply have to accept our mistakes and learn from them. |

I’m in. Just a few things. I’ve gone a month without wacking it but I had a shit ton of wet dreams. I also noticed that when I had sex, the time I lasted decreased significantly. Any help? |

Some of the reboot stories on yourbrainonporn.com are pretty amazing to read. Some of the symptoms people experienced whilst watching too much porn actually related to symptoms I had a while ago. Very interesting reads. One of my best friends has been preaching this site to me for over a year now and I finally went to look at it now. Reading some of the stuff makes me more into this than ever. I know i said it already but I’m 100% in. |

@ Casey, it could be due to the amount of porn you used to watch. Your body could be in withdrawal after giving it up completely and wet dreams are a way for your body and mind to compensate for the lack of masturbation, which it is normally used to on the regular. This will go away though. |

Yeah that site is really well put together and interesting. It pretty much is the inspiration behind me giving up masturbating. Really good website. |

I’m in. Porn is a tool of government mind control, like advertising, junk food, media & drugs that keeps the people distracted from the real issues of the world. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was part of corporate policy to keep us obedient & manageable ie paradise syndrome. On a side note. Can someone tell me what is the healthy recommended amount of times one should ejaculate over any given period? Once a week, month, year? Without porn of course? B.T.W yourbrainonporn is the best resource I’ve seen on the subject. |

Ok, so I’m not a guy, but I’m totally in on this. Porn is like junk food, and I’ve found that masturbating messes up my cycle. I feel like stopping masturbating can be equally beneficial to both women and men, and I’ll be interested to see what my own results are on this since most of you will be building up testosterone and not estrogen. |

@Paul According to the taoist masters, a young man should ejaculate no more than once a week, that’s maximum. As you get older, you should decrease the frequency even more. But retaining it completely is better. I think you might be right about the “paradise syndrome” distraction stuff. The more distracted a person is, through entertainment such as tv and masturbation, the less they will care about real issues, and the weaker they will become. Especially when you’re abusing your body’s “gratification system” so severely, like masturbating and doing drugs. |
