People In Dreams You Have Never Met
hey guys, im just wondering what all you have to say on this.
Have you ever had a dream, where you meet someone, in your dream, but have never met them in real life? I keep having dreams with all complete strangers in my waking life, but i know them very well in my dreaming life. I am so confused as to why im having dreams about people i have never even met before. has this happened to any of you?

A FEW CLARIFICATION ON DREAMING UNKNOWN PERSONS
Annihilation of time and space takes place in a body with pure consciousness, though the seer does not know how and why this is happening. Unless he gets God-the-preceptor within his body he remains in dark and thinks that it is something supernatural. God is within his body and without his grace the seer will have no idea that He is within his body.
God is within the body of the human being and the Universe is within God, so the universe is within the human body including past, present and future. In a pure conscious mind annihilation of space and time take place and for that reason one sees a new unknown place, unknown person and future or past.
I have extensive experiences on annihilation of space, and time through my divine dreams exceeding 700 which started since 1959 when I was 18 after coming in contact with this man named Jibankrishna or Diamond. Not only it happened in my case, but it happened with myriads of people irrespective of religions, casts, races, sexes and ages since the first part of twentieth century and still this phenomenon of seeing and getting this man as God-the-Preceptor is continuing even after his demise in 1967.
For the last one year I have been discussing in details with numerous examples and amazing facts about this phenomenon in my website (www.mydivinedreams.com) as well as in about 70 websites. There is another related website (www.jibankrishna.com) where one can know something about this man.
Lastly I wish to share my experiences through this website along with many others who have experienced this amazing phenomenon.
Sounds more like a musing. “What if the human brain can’t actually imagine new faces and everyone we’ve seen in a dream we’ve already seen in a crowd, on the street, or on tv somewhere in our lives”
When I was younger I’d have these dreams about this one guy, he always had dark hair and blue/green eyes. In each dream he’d always be a different age, but always older than me. I had at least 15 dreams with him in them. The dreams were almost never pleasant but I always figured he just represented some part of myself I was having a hard time confronting in my waking life. And then one day about four years ago, I was sitting in the car in heavy traffic with my mom and this car rolled up next to us and the guy from my dreams was driving the car. I haven’t had any more dreams with him in them since but I can’t help but wonder if in some alternate universe we are more than strangers to each other. I personally believe strangers in our dreams either represent our selves or are people we will meet or have met in another life.
“God, with the help of yoga, through gradual enfoldment and transformations is seen within the human body as Bliss and then again through yogas that Bliss being concentrated takes the form of a person and teaches the seer yogas.” – Sri Jibankrishna
@taurean10, @flightfacilities, I’ve heard that before but it’s not entirely true. Yes, most of the people you dream about you have seen before because the brains capability to store information is immense. Side fact, If you actually knew how to control and hose your brain fully, you would be able to recall almost any bit of informatin you have ever learned read or seen, bbecause it’s all in there somewhere. But in your dreams, you can and do create new faces based off you inner desires. You create entire world’s, bits and parts that you have seen or learned put together into fantastical lands. Faces are more of the same, created by your mind into your ideal faces to fit the dream you are having.
Apparently you almost always (or maybe always) dream of people you have see before. even if it is a random person you passed on the street and barely noticed, subconsciously your brain remembered their face. I often dream of people I met that day or saw that day. I often have dream of TV characters if I watch an episode before bed. By using a dream journal I found that people in my dreams turned out to be people a saw even just for a second at a party the day before and later became friends with.
@taurean10, I heard that too. I do and don’t believe it. . . . I think like 98% of the time this happens. . .but for the other 2% we are seeing people that are not actually people. . . or maybe people we will meet in the future. Just think. . our brain can create totally fiction characters. . things that there is no way we could have ever seen. . like monsters
I read somewhere once that the brain can’t invent new faces, or something to that degree (dumb down, of course) so it uses people you’ve just seen on the street; @yoinkie, I think both theories kinda work being that the brain doesn’t invent a new face but applies a “tag” based off desires.
Makes since to me. What’d you think?
I had a Dream about this boy and his brother , and in my dream we were together but ive never met this guy and about 3 weeks later i went to Busch gardens and i met him and we flirted . Is it a sign or something?
I have, I keep dreaming of a blonde girl and in this latest one I saw the most of her face than I have in any of them. Still it isn’t enough to go off of. Every time I dream of her though, its like I already know her and that there is a deep connection between us. That we love each other and are drawn together. Ironically I was brought to this by google why searching “dream of someone you haven’t met yet” and when I saw your picture KellyM, I had to do a double take because you’re profile picture is the closest to resembling what I have seen anywhere. And this is the first time I have ever been on this site. IDK if it’s just a coincidence or what but it is a little eerie.
From what I could see in the dream I was looking down at her from behind her on her right hand side close enough where we were up against each other and I could see the side of her face. kind of like a side profile not quite directly at the side.
Best way I can describe…
Picture a circle, the top is 0 as in zero degrees and the numbers increase clockwise till it reaches itself which would result in 360. directly at the side would be at the 45 degree mark. My POV was roughly at the 60 degree mark, maybe a little closer to 45. But right around there. Below is the best I can describe VIA picture. I was looking from right about where the word segment is. Not the section it points to. Where the actual word is.
wasn’t there already another thread just like this one??
@taurean10, Interesting theory, but I wonder why you think so? You do not think it is possible for our minds to create images of things we have never seen in our waking life?
So then where does creativity come from? And how is it possible we invent new things we have never seen before? Why could that not be in dreams either?
@kellah I have…. It can mean a lot of different things, but if you are getting to know these people through your dreams fairly well it’s possible they were people you knew in a past life or people you’re going to meet in your future
Hello friends, I know this may be a bit much to read but if you have a few spare minutes I beg of you to read this and please leave your opinions. I just awoke no more than 2 hours ago from the dream I am about to explain, here it goes….it started out with me in the UK (United kingdom), a country I have never been to but have had the urge to visit almost all my life. In this dream I was not with anybody I knew but was walking around at a house party with a bunch of strangers. Some of these people I did not speak with and others I did, all who were very friendly. A lot of little things happened from the start of my dream at the party to the point I will soon be getting to, most of which did not seem to make a whole lot of sense. Now, for the first time ever in my life I actually realized I was dreaming. I had gone around to many of the people at this party and asked them if I was indeed dreamimg, just to make sure. They all replied with a smile and said “yes”, they also seemed very surprised that I knew what was going on. After some time of mingling with the crowd and anxiously feeling like I was in search of something, I found myself in some sort of very large warehouse not far from the party. This wasn’t the typical dirty warehouse you would picture in your mind but instead had white floors, white walls, and a white ceiling. It was also surprisingly immaculate, not a spec of dirt anywhere. I then found my self sprinting like a mad man through the building until I finally reached the other side. I came apon a small dining type room that was fully furnished with painted walls, lights, a kitchen table with two chairs. When I entered the room I noticed a slighty older women sitting in one of the chairs so I took a seat in the other one right across from her. Immediately another women who seemed to be my age entered the room and sat down on my lap. I then felt a sensation of relief and me and this women stared into eachothers eyes for some time like we were madly in love. After what seemed to be a few moments the lady across from us got our attention, looked and the women on my lap, and very gently said to her “he’s the one” while nodding her head “yes”. When this happened I felt an immense rush of butterflies throughout my whole body like I’ve never felt before. We then grabbed eachother tightly with a very affectionate hug and I told her I just wanted to sit and hold her because I knew the moment would not last (already being consciously aware I was in a dream). She then jotted down some information. ..a telephone number, adress, or something of the sort but it seemed to be very scrambled and hard to make out. Like I thought the moment unfortunately slipped away right before my eyes. I then fojnd myself in a vehicle, racing down a road, frantically searching for this women before I awoke. After a moment or two of searching with no success I awakened and was back in reality. I have personally never felt such a deep love for ANYONE in my life before and the feeling was lingering for quite some time, even in my awakened state. Now I know this may seem rediculous and corny to whoever reads this but I strongly hope and believe this was a sign of something good to come. My ultimate dream would be to meet this women in real life someday, if she’s out there, and make her mine. I am only 21 years old and have never really had a girlfriend or been in love before, but I can assure you the feeling I had was love at first sight. If you took your time to read this whole thing I would like yo thank you for your time! If you have any opinions, comments, or any information on the meaning of this dream please feel free to share on this page or you can contact me at Bwallskog3@hotmail.com it would be much appreciated!
@sisyphus, I think there are ways even if we can’t wrap our heads around them – I don’t get how we can take pictures of little black holes that we made but they seem to be doing it anyways over at CERN :) – perhaps it is possible to isolate the electric impulses that are sent when we recognize something and then connect that to when e.g. a lucid dreamer sees e.g. ‘This man’ although i get where you are comming from, it’s just this really makes a lot of sense to me :) so why not simply believe this until further notice? ;)
@kellah, Seeing unknown persons or places in dreams is a natural phenomenon and are based on Vedanta where Svetasvetara Upanishad has mentioned some thousands of years ago as such:
The past, the future and what the Vedas declares.
The whole world the illusion maker projects out of this(Brahma) [4.9]
Now what is Brahma? Brahma is the Supreme Self and every human being has the birth right to become Brahma as the power of human being is infinite. This human brain is the carbon copy of this universe, that means this universe is within this human brain including past, present and future. As and when necessary these reveal in dreams. But these dreams are divine in nature which is mentioned in Upanishads thousands and thousands of years ago.
You have seen unknown person in dreams not seen before. This is not a miracle . The persons or places are in existence in the world and as this universe is within you, you can see it provided your brain is in equilibrium condition and in pure consciousness state. In my case, I have more than 100 such dreams indicating my past and future as well as I have seen innumerable unknown persons and places in my dreams . Some I have seen in reality in later stage some not.
