physically its a different workout each tree, even each time you climb the same tree you have the option of climbing differently creating a randomized workout plan that gives you tougher hand-skin strength and all around more fit body. mentally you can use tree climbing as a metaphor for many things in life and inspire yourself to achieve something by remembering a time when you climbed a difficult tree and managed to climb down safe enough to tell the tale. spiritually i’m not really sure… the higher i am doesn’t effect the back of my head.. does it?
@triplemind, I have loved climbing trees since I was young but have never placed much thought behind why I loved doing it. After reading your post, I completely agree with you and feel as though you have hit the nail on the head. I find it fascinating that even at a young age, I felt connected with nature and strived to achieve a higher understanding. In addition, I loved the new perspective that I could achieve by reaching the tops of the trees, and isn’t that a key component to understanding life? To keep an open mind and realize the importance of perspective? Climbing trees fully encompasses my (and I am presuming your) beliefs about life.
