I’m not complaining, or maybe I am, but today is just one of days when I really have to work hard on seeing the good si of things.
I’m sitting in the waiting room for my 3rd doctor visit of the day, it’s raining cats and dogs outside, my wellingtons have given me blisters on booth heals, missed the train with 3 minutes so i had to wait for 57 minutes till the next one left, I have terrible period pain (drugs give me back the ability to walk) and my ear won’t stop hurting (the reason why I’m going to so many doctors)
The thing just is that when I was walking to this final appointment, my heals bleeding and rain dripping inside my coller I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing to myself (I’m a crazy lady in the making), you see it hurt soo bad that the only thing I could think of was a quote I just read in Haruki Murakami’s book What I Talk About When I Talk About Running which is
"Pain is inevitable. Suffering is a choice"
On other days it might be quotes like "work so hard on your bad sides that they are considered interesting characteristics" (quote I came up with when I got sick and tired of all the very obnoxious artists coming to the cafe where I worked), or "Failing to plan, is planning to fail" etc etc etc
Now I wonder, what sort of quotes get you through bad days, hard times, awkward moments?
You cannot hope to solve any problem using the same energy that created the problem. -Neale Donald Walsch

“How do you solve a problem like Maria?” Quote: Julie Andrews (wait it was Mother Superior). But seriously I always say “Wealth is not determined by what you have but what you give” I do not know where I got that. I love “Laughter is the best medicine”.
I think of Eddie Murphy Delirious quotes or Caddyshack quotes when I’m really sad. “It’s a Cinderella story…”- Bill Murray.
I’m one of those pop-culture quoters like Barney Stinson or Tony DiNosso, just not funny.
Manimal, this might be the one u meant:
“Whether you think you can or you can’t,either way you’re right.”- Henry Ford. Pretty deep one.

The happiest people don’t have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything.
In twenty years you will have more regrets about what you didn’t do, than about what you did.
Three simple rules in Life:
If you don’t GO after what you want, you will never have it.
If you do not ASK, the answer will always be NO.
If you don’t step forward, you will always in the same place.
There is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. (Martha Graham)
The worst mistake anyone can make is being too afraid to make one.
True love does not come by finding the perfect person but by learning to see en imperfect person perfectly.
Most of the things you worry about never happen.
The purpose of life is to live it, to taste and experience it to the utmost, to reach out eagerly without fear for newer and richer experiences. (Elaine Roosevelt)

1.To the question of your life, you are the only answer. To the problems of your life, you are the only solution. ~Jo Coudert, Advice From A Failure
2.Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions for now. Perhaps you will find them gradually, without even noticing it, and live along some distant day into the answer.Till then don’t forget to live ~Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet (PS:i live by this one)

“The self-confidence of the warrior is not the self-confidence of the average man. The average man seeks certainty in the eyes of the onlooker and calls that self-confidence. The warrior seeks impeccability in his own eyes and calls that humbleness. The average man is hooked to his fellow men, while the warrior is hooked only to infinity.”
“All paths are the same: they lead nowhere. However, a path without a heart is never enjoyable. On the other hand, a path with heart is easy—it does not make a warrior work at liking it; it makes for a joyful journey; as long as a man follows it, he is one with it.”
“Once a man worries, he clings to anything out of desperation; and once he clings he is bound to get exhausted or to exhaust whomever or whatever he is clinging to. A warrior-hunter, on the other hand, knows he will lure game into his traps over and over again, so he doesn’t worry.”
“Personal history must be constantly renewed by telling parents, relatives, and friends everything one does. On the other hand, for the warrior who has no personal history, no explanations are needed; nobody is angry or disillusioned with his acts. And above all, no one pins him down with their thoughts and their expectations.”
“anyone can be cool, but awesome takes practice.” Lorraine Peterson
“I hate vacations. If you can build buildings, why sit on a beach?” Philip Johnson
“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.”Plato
“I never guess. It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.” Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
