Ok, I am just curious to know the order in which people out there have taken on psychoactives (include whatever you want as part of your list) and also the order that you would recommend taking in order to make each experience a smooth stepping stone to the next. There is a lot of information out there about everything individually but I want to know their relationships and etc.
-You could do a simple ranking method (1st, 2nd, 3rd)
-You could do a scale method (1-10; 5 stars)
-All could use a detailed recount of our involvement

@adamsmith, thank you! It’s just that I interchange what I’m looking at a lot and I will not see the notification thing and pass up a reply by mistake.
So if these have DMT, how have they not been picked off of the shelves and banned? Also, I imagine that with these you probably would not be able to go to the extent that straight dose of DMT would take you? I am interested in them though, and would probably get some if i found them in vitamin store
@ijesuschrist, it sounds like this would be perfect for someone who doesn’t enjoy inhaling smoke so I suppose this is what I will be seeking. I don’t know the next time I will be able to get to the Amazon though, lol. I definitely want to get some of this stuff and try it out though. it seems more reliable in affecting oneself than DMT. Like you said, people complain about proper ignition and have biased reports on the effect.
Also, does anyone have anything positive to say about peyote? I’ve yet to hear anything about it, despite having heard about everything ELSE under the sun
Alright so here’s a few lists I’ll add to this discussion.
In order of when they were tried:
5. Pure MDMA
8. Assorted Opiate Pain Killers
In order of which I would personally rate them, based on experiences I’ve had thus far:
1. Marijuana (all time favorite, its uses are literally unlimited)
2. MDMA (its bliss in powder form)
3. Opiate Painkillers (make you feel so good, I only use them sparingly)
4. Alcohol (always has its place)
5. Mushrooms (only done twice, each time was a cool experience, will increase dose in the future)
6. LSD (also only done twice, but also very cool, and looking to up the dose in the future)
7. DXM (some people don’t like it, but I’ve had no negative experiences. The high can have a tendency to feel “dirty” though)
8. Kratom (just started with it, its very cool but somewhat limited. Great to ease social tension, but nothing much more)
9. Adderall (took to much recreationally and it made me too jittery. very helpful for studying at lower doses, however)
10. Tobacco (used to adore it, then hated it, now its neutral to me. In my opinion, its negative effects always outweigh its positive ones)
I’m very experienced with the first four substances on my favorite list, and not so familiar with the bottom six. I’m still looking to for a psychoactive that will really help me understand myself better, and look to delve more into psychedelics in the future. As far as the flow of my use, it seemed natural to me. If anyone has any suggestions on what to try next for further insight, please let me know! Thanks!
@tymr, Hey there.
First of all, nice trip! It was awesome to read, and I just love hearing about everyone having such an awesome connection with themselves when they dive into this stuff. It is just great to know that people are out there exploring themselves this passionately.
Anyway, I am totally with you on the chemical thing and respect that practice. You will be happy to know that both DMT and Mescaline both occur naturally and you will not have to limit yourself if you choose to go further. I learned just today that DMT is naturally sourced in a certain plant mixture commonly called Ayahuasca and Mescaline is the active ingredient, so to speak, in Peyote.
I am ready to have such an intense moment as the one you described, and eagerly await its arrival (though obviously not going to force such things)
And what ^^^ he said =)
@jordan, hmmm. Yeah, I read your write-up on Ketamine and I was basically floored. I had gotten a pretty bad impression of it up until your write-up (and I think you mentioned that people give it a really bad rep without just cause). For me, I wanna go more for the things that I can find in nature most, if only those things. For this reason, I feel more hesitant about K and Mescaline.
Another good questions to through in (gonna edit the OP and mention here):
Do you think there’s a better experience found from natural PAs than synthesized ones?
@nightowl, hmm. This also intrigues me, but I don’t know how easy it would be able to get ahold of in the states either. I’m in one of the conservative capitals of the world (Florida) so I’m thinking my options are limited. My interest, however, is not
@aliwine, dang breh, dunno what to say. I truly only know of salvia chemically and from the reports of others as well as what my own studies inform me is true of chemicals that behave this way biochemically.
I didn’t smoke weed right the first time I tried, just got a burnt-plant taste…
Hot plates are very common, like for keeping food warm at potlucks and stuff.
@lytning91, I’ve heard of people having their first psychoactive as DMT. I don’t know how I feel about the progression one would take. I think you should take the harder ones first;
Mushrooms, DMT, ayahuasca, then get the luxury of things like MDMA, mescaline, LSD (kind of).
I think then you respect them first, enjoy them later.
Rather than the other way around, but who am I to say?
@biga69, clever observation, if it does actually work. I would think you would need a pretty strong one though to really make the DMT take full effect. As @nightowl was saying, the body is already going to filter the stuff more because of the digestion so to use a weak MAOi might just be a huge waste
@tymr, fuck yeah dude, that story is completely awesome. I know the dance you speak of. It is the dance of utter simplicity. When you are on mushrooms, life makes SO much sense, and the Universe makes SO much sense, and it is all SO beautiful and perfect, that all there is left to do is hop around and wave your arms singing, “la la la di da!”
I would love nothing more than to meet up with all 10,000+ HEthens and just dance around and sing. Ahhhhhhhh :D
@lytning91, If you smoke marijuana (A LOT) and listen to your favorite music while laying in a dark room, you can have a religious / spiritual experience. Weed is powerful, don’t let its popularity fool you.
Get over the inhalation bias. You can eat weed, and of course, DMT orally is ayahuasca (with an MAOi). But fear / stigma against smoking it, nah.
I to also want to try mescaline, as I hear it is a much more energized, euphoric high. Spiritual, but like a light bit of MDMA mixed in.
Ayahuasca is as far as you get, along with ibogaine, as far as psychedelics go. When you go and come back on ayahuasca there is no limitations to your experience. Dying (spiritually) is common, being reborn is common, talking to God(s) is common, realizing the purpose of life is common, having group experiences is common, feeling tiny in the massiveness of the spiritual plane is common.
My dose was so weak. I felt it coming on and fear got to me, and I puked. I had felt the heart beat of the earth, and the sun began to radiate authority over me. After I puked it felt like it spoke to me and said “ok, you’re not ready, enjoy this” and I had the most beautiful colored streamers, I saw my muscles and bones through my skin, and was able to truth speak continually. I took great joy in my dad’s company later on, and was incredibly interested in every word he said.
Natural versus synthetic:
There will never be a replacement for ayahuasca or ibogaine.
There is drugs called NBoMe’s and derivatives that are so similar, I’ve read full reports on the neurology and the effects to conclude that NBoMe-I (I think is the name) is EXACTLY like taking peyote (natural) and MDMA (not natural).
Neurologically you can design compounds to have nearly the same activity as these natural compounds.
Phytochemically, deriving a substance from a plant – there are thousands of molecules we don’t know that exist in the mix.
@adamsmith, I have never had a lucid dream before. I have heard two accounts from lucid dreamers, one that was short and one that continued through several lucid dreams. The latter had a very interesting glimpse into this guy’s world held within it and that conversation was magnificent.
I’ll try to bring them on and see if they’ll share their stores and join the community!
Ayahuasca isn’t on the list I posted because it’s just DMT mixed with a naturally-occuring MAOI [common in certain medications] that allows it to be orally active. So, it’s orally-active DMT that lasts with the timeframes of a LSD trip instead of the short immediate otherworld veil of vaporized or intravenous DMT.
Since the Harmine, Harmaline, MAOIs of Ayahuasca come from the Yage vine, Banisterous Caapi, I would include it on my list considering that it is also natural, wholesome, shamanic.
BUT EVERYONE IN MODERN SOCIETIES SHOULD BE CAREFUL CONSUMING MAOI!!!!!! CAN HAVE DANGEROUS REACTIONS WITH TOXINS OF YOUR UNNATURAL DIETS
This is the order in which I took them
1st- psilocybe cubensis mushrooms
Intensity and spiritual intensity
@lytning91, When you “smoke” DMT you aren’t burning it, it is the vapors of DMT. DMT is a crystalline compound, and you heat it up until it boils, which is… vaporizing it. You can make ayahuasca very easy, just google “mimosa hostilis root bark” and “B. Caapi” or “Harmala”. You mix MHRB (amount varies, if you want a strong trip, just put in a handful) with the B.Caapi (lesser amount) and boil for 12-24 hours in a little lemon juice water. Drink. Be aware though that you need to go on a special diet when ingesting MAOi’s as you can get serotonin syndrome or even death from eating some common foods.
I think you’re putting unnecessary stigma on burning it. “Smoking it” in a crack pipe seems gross, but really its not any physically different than vaporizing it with an expensive apparatus.
NBoMe compounds are made to completely agonize or antagonize receptors in the brain. They were made by intense research by David Nichols, and are the strongest known to man, in both potency, and dose size.
@biga69, for the fullest effect you essentially need a crack pipe, unfortunately.
@tangledupinplaid21, well if you are disinterested in that method of labeling them, perhaps some more detail about the order you used in would work for you? I gave options knowing that people would not be able to adhere to all of the guidelines (I understand the unique nature of these experiences too). If you do not perceive a natural order of strength, as some do, just list your special order you chose and tell me more about the whole experience.
I’m very interested in hearing what everyone has to say
@lytning91, please do! That would be interesting. I became very adept at lucid dreaming back when I was 15-16, because I had a lottttttt of time to sleep in and essentially do nothing but practice. So, I have had some very interesting lucid dreams. The most simple way to explain it is this: it is as real as the reality you are experiencing right now reading this on your computer screen. It is more real than anything you could ever experience. The only difference is that you can alter the laws of physics to your will. So, you can fly and go through walls and stuff. You can also teleport and go back in time and stuff. It’s a trip.
