First- the word ‘Contrite” means sincerely apologetic. I did not know what this meant before Oprah used it describing Lance Armstrong lol.

Second, Synthol is an injectable oil some bodybuilders and / or slackers inject under their skin to make their muscles look massive. It must be used commonly or else it will be washed away to other parts of the body ( sounds highly unhealthy ) Also it adds absolutely no strength and you end up looking like a complete idiot, its hilarious. Good Synthol use for a few great laughs at the people with no back bone to put in the hard work themselves.

@christopherrbrooke, That’s fucking awesome.

@taysand, I learned about them in my behavioral neuroscience class (though i had read about split brains and alien hands before too), but i’ll find you some videos:

The split brain thing is just that your brain is taking in things you’re not aware of somehow, but then you still have the information and can regurgitate it. This is when the surgery goes well. I knew one young boy who had it (for epilepsy) and it pretty much turned him into a walking vegetable.

Here’s alien hand, from what i’ve read it can be a result of split brain surgery as well, but not limited to it.

This is a good one on blindsight:

Here’s one about seeing emotions when blind, and it’s narrated by morgan freeman…so yeah.

@vernalsoul, Nice! Read The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer if you like since thats where I’m learning this stuff.

@iflipvans, I guess its for detatchment, but I like to view it as simply a means of realizing the full extent of Who I Am. For example, when I go for a drive and everything is peachy: theres trees, cars, lights clouds. But then I see a car that perhaps reminds me of a car an ex used to own. Suddenly my nice car ride has been turned into a huge negativitly party simply because my mind went on some random tangent. The way around this is to simply realize that I am not the thoughts that take place in my head. Be careful though, as your mind will start digging furthur layers by identifying with one side of the internal argument and shunning the other. For example, your mind will say, “I shouldn’t think about that car” “Why do I do this to myself?” etc Its like the layers of an onion. You just gotta stop peeling and crying ;)

Pushing your pride aside and making an amends to someone you’ve caused damage to is a liberating experience.

- DO NOT BUY CHEAP CAR INSURANCE. When you get in a wreck the $15 a month you saved will seem like a distant memory…

– A desire to control things will not solve anxiety issues. The root problem is the anxiety itself and the desire to control is a bi-product of that anxiety. Come to terms with the anxiety and the incessant desire to be in control will fade away.

– Just go with it.

Our planet does not revolve the sun in a circular pattern as we were all taught in school, but rather it spirals upwardly through the universe as we revolve the sun as it revolves the center of the our galaxy

“When you get the message hang up the phone.”
An Alan Watts quote I found after being turned on to him on this site.
It is in reference to drug use and I have not been able to get it out of my head since I read it last week.
I feel it is meaningful on a couple of levels: 1) to know when you are done with a certain drug, 2) moderation when using drugs.
Love it.

Came upon the full quote:
“Psychedelic experience is only a glimpse of genuine mystical insight, but a glimpse which can be matured and deepened by the various ways of meditation in which drugs are no longer necessary or useful. If you get the message, hang up the phone. For psychedelic drugs are simply instruments, like microscopes, telescopes, and telephones. The biologist does not sit with eye permanently glued to the microscope, he goes away and works on what he has seen…”
— Alan Watts, (Joyous Cosmology Prologue, 2nd ed. 1970).
Best take on drug use I have encountered:)

Why people don’t keep wolves.

-A wolf seeks dominance and in it’s younger years it accepts a higher wolf as the alpha male. The same applies if you kept a wolf as a pet, it would see the human as being the alpha male and will remain obedient. When the wolf is mature it would look for weakness in the alpha male, such as fatigue, wounded or weak in general. Once the wolf discover a weakness in the alpha male it would attack to kill or severely wound the alpha to gain dominance. This applies to humans as well.

-Once a wolf reach maturity a child is no longer seen as a playmate, it’s seen as prey.

I learned that. If it’s worth loving someone. It’s worth letting them know that the world is unfair, unjust, and you shouldn’t give a fucks

Because God is everything. we can hear him through everything. Like the native Americans would meditate upon a question and then the wind would gust. But nowadays we have technology and can use tv the radio or other forms of media

In Microsoft word hold down ctrl and press 2 to switch to double spacing. And ctrl and 1 to switch to single. And I’m sure you can do 3 for triple.

You can mix the bark from White Eucalyptus Tree with tobacco and smoke it for a bit of high.

The Australian Aboriginals have been doing it for 1000s of years in ceremonies and I spent the better half of today collecting some for such.
