Every single time I take shrooms I experience a higher level of consciousness and develop many hypotheses that I have never even thought of or read about before due to this higher level of thought that I am experiencing. After I am done tripping I research the hell out of these hypotheses and it turns out that they were already thought of decades ago and are part of grand theories from some of the greatest intellectuals ever. I faithfully believe that there is a correlation between mushrooms and higher level thinking and I have been dedicating my life and studies in proving this hypothesis. I firmly believe that great success will be made if a majority of today’s intellectuals harnessed the power of mushrooms and used them to experience the highest level of thought. Mushrooms should be viewed as a tool not a narcotic.I argue that mushrooms should be perceived as a natural telescope/microscope that allows humans to peer into the realm of higher consciousness.
I have thought about this for a very long time and I have never really had the chance to share my thoughts on this topic with others because society frowns upon mushrooms. However this website gives us the freedom to express our suppressed thoughts that are not considered acceptable and I would like to hear what people think about this topic and also hear theories that other shroomers have come up with. Please feel free to critique my thoughts as much as possible. I am open to all constructive or harsh criticism.

thats the trap. humans have already thought about the meaning of life a lot. but no one will ever be able to say that they know the answer. The key word is EVER! I love tripping and thinking about the deeper things in life, but the cold truth is that even if you do unlock the secret who would believe you? why would they want to? To lead is to act, and that’s why drugs are looked down on. I bet you already know the meaning to life. All you have to do is start living like it. however, you are too busy geeking out about all the cool shit you thought you thought of, when in reality has been at your fingertips the entire time.
Now the question becomes….is your experience on shrooms whatever you believe it to be? In my experience, every trip is whatever you believe it is. I think the only thing you can do is see who else has had the same experience/interpretation of the trip.
I don’t exactly believe anything I am experiencing or saying is true because I know all humans are subject to error because of the fact that we all interpret the same experience differently. However, I wrote this because the last time I tripped I happened to be at a party with my friend who has a bachelors in psychology who has never done mushrooms, and I sat there with him for two hours and just explained to him all of the thoughts and theories that were going on in my mind and he was literally astonished about all of the things that I was coming up with and he told me that most of the things I was talking about has already been written in textbooks. I just thought it was interesting that mushrooms seem to give you the ability to tap into higher levels of thinking without having to experience them ideas on a materialistic level. I wrote this article because I am curious to know if anyone else can relate to this.
I’ve had the same kind of experience several times, about 3 times with mushrooms and one time tripping naturally while running, listening to music and breathing in a different way (which I tripped about while being on mushrooms and decided to try it). I think I know exactly what you mean, things I was tripping about, and the shared with a friend, we’re extremely deep, insightful and for me it was like discovering a completely different level of understanding and perceiving the world. What amazes me the most as well, is that recently I’ve been reading books about ancient knowledge, theories of life and just random articles and videos, which say exactly what I have been tripping about, and it keeps happening more and more, I feel that you actually get connected with inner wisdom, universal knowledge or whatever the fuck you wanna call it while having these kinds of experiences.
I smoked some weed the other day and had the same experience as mentioned above , although most were original thought . It actually started a while back when i first really started smoking , i started to be able to tap into that thought process even when i wasn’t high . (Later found out i have a much higher IQ than normal , how about you all ? )
When I did shrooms, actually the only time I did it was interesting but I felt very lost and confused about everything. This was before I really started learning about spirituality and stuff. Do you think having some knowledge of that would make a better trip?
yeah. Shrooms basically say; here, this is what is real, this is what is worth something, anything. Then you realize so much isn’t worth anything, so much stuff is really… meaningless. And you find that true meaning, great things are yourself, and other people, and other animals, and nature… Its really all I ever see on them.
“When you get the message hang up the phone” – Alan Watts
Its up to you. The first trip opens so many doors, but further trips don’t necessarily close them. Meaning you don’t always answer those 1st questions… you just get deeper in and more questions…
I definitely agree because I’ve experienced the same thing. Ideas that came to me while in that state I could later find things online that were similar or the same. Sometimes it is eerily familiar with what I had been thinking. It almost seems like it has to be more than just coincidence.
Its interesting too to have friends with you while in that state and you go to say something completely out there, that you can’t even believe your saying, and they are able to follow you completely, or I’ve even had them finish my sentences. It was as if we were just connected on a whole different plane to the same information or ideas.
@thefungis7711, not everything thats better, really is better. Even if shrooms makes people super smart, does that mean people should use it? The theories they would develop would be suitable for similar, highly smart people and thus creating a society not suitable for … sustainable individual if you like. With the perspective that a society on shrooms is not sustainable.
Drugs do not make you intelligent.
Yeah but that is an extremely subjective perspective. How can you argue that it would not be sustainable if there has never been a documented society that has collectively used shrooms .You never know what it would be like. And do you honestly believe the society we live in is sustainable right now? A society that is materialistic, which manipulates all of our natural resources just so a person can gain instant gratification when they buy the newest things on the market and throw away something that they already own that works absolutely fine.Which builds up land fills and pollutes our environment. A society that is killing our own home and causing global warming, a society that treats people differently based on how much money they have or how talented that person is. I can easily argue that a society on shrooms would
be a much better society than the current one and I firmly believe that we would not be going through no where near as much problems as we are going through today.Imagine if people simply added a mushroom to their everyday diet, you would not even be able to fathom how much different and sustainable our society would be. Im sure we would not have nearly as much co2 emissions and I firmly believe people would be more compassionate for other human beings and animal and not treat them nearly as bad as people and animals are treatled in todays society. We live in a society that relies on drugs (that are synthesized and manipulated) just to get through their day, however mushrooms are just a simple fungi that grows from the ground, a simple gift from mother nature that was given a bad reputation because a few humans decided to make them illegal. A major percentage of people depend on antidepressants just to be happy, a drug that has tremendously harmful side effects. Does that sound like a sustainable society? Can you even name any known harmful side effects of mushrooms or better yet do your own research on mushrooms and a few legal drugs that are legal and compare the mortality rate of each. I may not be absolutely right with my argument but I dont believe that you can say that a society that accepts shrooms would be unsustainable if you have no evidence to back it up.
