Name some of your favorite stand up comics and/or shows… Here go some of my faves.. In Best to almost best order…
1. Dave Chappelle – For What it’s Worth
|General Tits Von Chodehoffen|
Dave Chappelle hands down!
He had a gun??… uuhhh, Yeah!
Can’t have a list without George Carlin
Dave Chappelle is king of stand-up. (at least for our generation, it would have been interesting/awesome to witness George Carlin and Richard Pryor as we were able to with Chappelle)
Almost kings (taking what I just said in to consideration)…
- Louis CK
Don’t remember a lot of names, I haven’t watched standup in a long time.
Eddie Izzard, Dressed to Kill! I was like obsessed with it with a friend in 8th grade… haha.
@Manimal – shit can’t believe I forgot Ricky Gervais… very good call
Loooooooooooooooove George Carlin! And Russel Peters is pretty good too.
Mitch Hedberg, George Carlin, Bill Hicks, Ricky Gervais, Eddy Izzard
Frickin’ Sam Kinnison was the man too.
Louis CK- Chewed Out, and Shameless
Both those are in an old show called Black Books. It’s pretty funny.
Em…Darragh O Brian,
Russell Peters, George Carling, Eddy Izzard, Ricky Gervais
I don’t know of many, but of those I do, Bill Hicks and Demetri Martin are my favourite.
I think nobody mentioned them, which is surprising… You should check them out!
Sheng Wang, he’s lesser known but he’ll have you on the floor.
Eddie Griffin – Voodoo Child
Carlos Mencia, thumbs down, imo. Richard Pryor anyone? He was the man, and not to mention Eddie Murphy was a wonderful stand-up in the day.
Carlos Mencia?? I’m sorry I can’t agree… I’m ok with blacks making fun of blacks. Whites making fun of whites. But Guatemalan’s making fun of Mexicans?? That’s just racist. I can’t stand that fool.
@ Tony, ” YOOOUUUU, can not SAY, floorin’ filfth, in front of people…”
”The man comes out and says these things… Pops he comes out and says: Hello! Suck this and kiss this and suck my big black stuff and suck it!’
what do you guys think about this list? Would you subtract from it? add to it? or Just Re-Do the whole thing?
@Tony There’s a bunch of films in there I haven’t seen. Animal house definitely deserves a higher spot, Beverly Hills cop isn’t that funny, Lampoon’s vacation isn’t that funny either.
Most of the films on that list I would call “ok.”
