Could you suggest some songs for me to learn (piano) and mess around around with? I’d prefer it if they weren’t very well known. It doesn’t matter what kind, although right now I’m getting over a Chopin phase. |

Yiruma has particularly nice pieces in his album First Love. I’m particularly fond of “When the Love Falls”. It’s simple but very beautiful |

Canon in D is a nice piece! ;) you could also learn some movie theme songs, but they are of cause well know. Something like Pirates of the Caribbean or Simpsons? |

Midna’s Lament from Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, lol. I really liked that game, and that song stuck out to me. |

@dalniente, please learn (and then record yourself playing wildly) Great Balls of Fire By: Jerry Lee Lewis. If you could do that…I’d be very happy. |

Thanks guys. I’ll give them a try. I love Regina Spektor. Also, it’s not that I don’t like popular songs, it’s just that I like to find something new once in a while. Sure, give me a few requests if you want, and if I have time later maybe I’ll post some when finals are over. |

@dalniente, Copsticks is a real challenge. But seriously, I like @lytning91, suggestion, Jerry Lee Lewis, or one of the piano men, Billy Joel or Elton John. |

@dalniente, Yeah, those guys maybe are not the complexity that Chopan and other such genius but they are a little more contemporary and, perhaps a little unfortunately, command a larger following than the classicals. |

Get a piano book of Oscar Peterson. That man was pretty much the ultimate in technical jazz piano. He even had a stroke and had to relearn the piano and still became more badass than anyone. |
