Ok so we are all part of this community and from what I gather we all want to make this word a better place!
but……. I find myself kind of paralyzed as to where to start, so my question is How do fellow heathens make the world a better place??

@standingontheprecipice Do shit right. Honestly, that’s what it’s all about. No matter what you do, do it well, do it to make yourself truly happy (because that will lead to others’ happiness as well) and try to experience everything you can.
Invest time wisely.
A lot of people invest time in unprofitable actions. Like watching TV, having petty arguments, engaging in endless conversations about how sports teams should have played better, for example.
Invest time in reading, discussing ideas, gaining practice knowledge and Challenging yourself.
I have this theory…
First..worry about yourself. You need to get your shit straight..and be in a position to help yourself. You can’t help others..if you yourself need help.
Second..find a passion and work to be the best at it.
Third..in your free time, understand how being good at this passion of yours..can be leveraged to help others.
Fourth..find a particular issue..and learn as much as you can about it.
Fifth…Connect with others that have a similar passion or interest in a particular issue as you do.
Sixth..Learn..never stop the thirst for curiosity and knowledge.
As you approach these steps…you will begin to formulate solutions and ideas that will solve the issue you are working on. Combing that with your work passion..you may already be in place in scale up your idea..to maximize its helping potential. By then you may have a large network to help you in your quest to help the world and be knowledgeable of the steps necessary to accomplish that task.
Stop trying. Desiring for something to happen in the future that isn’t happening now is the ego. You never achieve the results you want through the ego. Which is why utopian ideologies always backfire into just a different version of the same system, or worse. Good intentions like that are always destroyed by the means to get there. Whether that’s fighting the current system we live in or trying to persuade people to think and act in a certain way.
If you think about it almost everyone has some utopian vision, either for the world but usually just for themselves. They project a mental image of who they want to be instead of acknowledging and becoming aware of who/what they are now. That means they’re never in reality, and therefore can’t produce any real change.
From my experience all you can do is acknowledge what’s there, both in the world and inside yourself. You have to look at everything, both the good and bad, and just observe and fully feel it. Make yourself vulnerable and be fully in whatever situation you are in instead of thinking about a better future world or trying to change other people.
