The serious one.
Soooooo I like this girl a lot. I was in a long term relationship (4.5 years) that didn’t end my way and that ended about half a year ago. I was thinking I was over it so I’ve just been doing my own thing and this girl just kind of dropped in my lap and was like "hey, I like you" and I feel the same way. I like her a lot. Like stupid a lot. But I keep finding myself inadvertently distancing myself from her so I won’t get hurt again.
I really like this girl and don’t want to screw the pooch here, but at the same time I feel like I need some input because it’s so soon after the last break up. What do you have to say?
Also, if you feel like you need to know more I can fill you in.
Just so everyone knows. My internet shit the bed and I was agitated and clicked “post” a few times. Hence the ridiculous amount of posts of the same subject.
Do you feel like a complete person regardless of the prospect of another relationship, or that you’re kinda “jumping” from one to another? I don’t think there’s any objective amount of time that should be had between love interests, only you can know if you’re ready… and if not, keep it low key and be friends for a while, until you can trust.
If feel that you are not ready, let her know you like her but you aren’t ready. If she likes you enough, she’ll wait. If you are ready, then tell her and go for it.
That simple. I don’t even know why you ask.
@ellie, I don’t feel like I’ve “jumped” from one to another because I’ve done that already.
@Kevin, I’ve told her and all that good stuff and she’s told me about everything.
Just wanted to know what you intelligent people thought about it :)
