Third Eye or Pineal Gland opening?
Lately, I have been practicing meditiation regularly. all ibn hopes to highten my awarness and activate my pineal gland. Now im not sure If i have or not, or if im starting to, but I have rediculous pressure in my forehead, right smack dab in the center and its probably an inch down into my head. Is this my pineal gland opening? has anyone had any experiences with this before? I really dont know much, so any knowledge would be lovely. thank you =)

the question is, is the pineal gland something you want activated all the time? In this world, I would have to say no. After being active for 30 days, people were not understanding my reasoning because its like you have another filter for running your senses through, almost like a new addition to your brain and with visions. When you come back with answers, people don’t understand and it can appear as a mental illness. That site bipolarorwakingup.com makes complete sense to me. Maybe mother nature is trying to have us pierce through some kind of vail to the real truth of the cosmos? What ever is going down, some kind of awakening is defenetely emerging. IMHO, its beyond the coolest thing we could possibly imagine.
@blankey No, no. Nothing like that. Looking at that wiki page, I’d say I think visual snow is something we all experience in our field of vision from our optic nerve being an imperfect mechanism. Much in the same way there is tv static from an analogue technology. It’s likely that our brain makes us unaware of it, as it does with a lot of things. But under certain conditions, people may be able to perceive this. Who knows
What I see is more undeniable. Generally auras and such. I can’t find a good pic on the internet of what it looks like. But it’s mostly around my own hands. I see a border up to 1cm thick around my fingertips and such. I see it, but it’s invisible. It’s kind of hard to explain. It’s sort of like a distortion in space, like heat off blacktop in the summer. Anyway, I can send this energy between my hands and fingers and visibly see it jumping from one to the other at my will. The thing that really gets me is that I can feel it. Like if I direct it on some part of my body with my fingertip, I can feel it touching that part of my body. It’s like a pressure. Some days, for no apparent reason, it is very strong. These days, I sometimes see the energy as a color. Generally as either faint orange or a light purple color. These are also the days I can see other people’s auras, which are generally faint in comparison to my hands. Their auras always appear stronger when they are emotional or talking about/doing something they are passionate about. Like once, I saw a professional pianist playing live with a front row seat at Philips Academy in Andover, MA. I could see blue emanating from him mostly around his neck and upper back, which seemed to glow with the mood of the piece. Beautiful. Most vivid experience I have had with viewing other peoples’ aura.
I’m the weirdest person to be given these experiences, because I’d always been condescending toward people who believed in such things. Anyway, I went to an intuitive/energy reader once on suggestion from a friend who does believe these things wholeheartedly. I found this woman, and was skeptical. But I went in, and sat down. She said she would tune into my energy/aura and do a reading of me. She said that I had powerful healing energies in me, and that she could see a level of spiritual advancement in me that she rarely even saw in older practicing adults. She said I’m a natural energy healer/ reader and a clairvoyant. I was sitting there like, ok…that’s pretty neat. I doubt they tell everybody that, so idk maybe there’s something to it. She then introduced me to a circle of her friends saying I was a natural energy healer. I brought up the the thing about seeing things around my hands, and she was like “yes!”, you have a natural surplus of energy in your hands for healing people. I was like, “cool beans”. And left. I needed to think. I thought a lot about “what if?”. Such a romantic idea. Later, I was visiting family in Sedona, Arizona. We were at this crystal shop, because my younger cousin wanted to buy a “cool rock” or something. They said they were offering readings there. My aunt was like, “oh my god, do you want a reading?”. I thought to myself that this would be a great way to test the idea by checking for consistency between two “psychics”. So I sat down, and he said he could channel the words of people’s guides. And I was like, “ok, let’s hear it”. He got into a trance, and was like, “I am your grandfather from your first incarnation on earth”. I was actually starting to believe this stuff, so I was a little excited. He went on to tell me that I was a clairvoyant light healer. And I was a developing channeler as well. Almost the same shit as the woman on the other side of the country. I almost flipped a shit, but I let him continue. He said the same thing as the woman from MA at the end. He said I need to find a teacher or master or whatever. I need to learn how to use and develop my gift.
This whole thing has greatly impacted my outlook on reality. Even with all the evidence and subjective experiences, I still don’t entirely believe all this wholeheartedly. But it’s hard to keep denying it when weird things keep happening. Anyway, I’ve been very busy with life, work, commitments and such, so I haven’t had the time to put much focus toward this. But when I leave for school in a week, I intend to revisit this madness lol.
Sorry for the long post, seems like once I got going, my fingers were a flyin
Thats amazing! I am so happy for you, its an amazing gift.
I have seen auras ( at least what I think/believe was an aura) buts its always been when I was high..But recently Ive started to go to school for massage therapy and was in a room with natural healer you could say and I seen white energy around their heads ( a halo effect) it was so moving!
So have you always had this ability or have you done something to strength it?
@snaysler, OH YEA, THE MONSTER….
Honestly, it was so big, weird, and scary, i was trying not to look. Its body shape was kind of like ED 209 off Robocop, but obviously it was not made of metal.. it had these vent type apparatus that were made for sucking this “energy”…. and was truly one of the strangest life forms I could ever imagine; there was no fucking way i could even dream this thing up which is how i knew it was real.
it appeared and started sucking up that “smoke” that was leaving my body; although I m not sure, this smoke may be a by product of stress that this, and other organisms lives off of. People say ” what are humans place in life, or the food chain” and I think this is it. Multidimensional beings are living off human energy by-products that we cannot see.
@blankey, yes, it would be my pleasure… I have been trying to find time to write the entire experience and I will get a rough draft this week for you guys. My family literally thought I was going insane and now its all coming true, fucking hilarious, and thank god it is happening to others because i thought I was about insane too.
@snaysler, I think I have been seeing energy ever since the first time I tried to meditate when I was tripping on shrooms, and now every time I meditate I can focus on these blue swaying strands of energy? What do you see?
Yes I experienced this a lot.
You’re doing exactly what you are trying to do, you are meditating on your third eye chakra, the focus is what is cause the pressure because it is opening!
Keep at it. but dont forget to meditate on your other chakras as well to remain balanced!
@skaterat614, thats what i see, blue pulsing waves… i started seeing faces and other visions as well. Asked what ever was showing them to me to stop for a bit. I got work man and honestly, its a little fucking freeky.
The third eye is not in your forehead, it’s right in the middle of the brain. At the thalamus and cerebellum. In order to open your third eye (the optic thalamus, by the pineal) you need to “activate” both the pineal and pituitary bodies.
They are constantly active though, if these things weren’t active you would be a complete degenerate and you wouldn’t survive for long. It’s not about activating them per se, more about charging them up.
@snaysler, speaking of the waves of heat type visions. Looks like smoke under water… one time i saw my body steaming this out of my hands and feet… The scary part was the big ass monster looking thing sucking them up!!! No bullshit.
I think it could be from trying too hard to visualize things behind your eyes. Your eyes don’t like that kind of strain and I have felt pressure there before. When I do I realize I’m trying to visualize feeling instead of simply feeling what can be felt. A reminder to concentrate harder and switch my focus.
Hello, I’m new to the conversation. My name is Brittany. I find it fascinating that other people are experiencing these things as well. They are called “closed eye visualizations” and I usually see an assortment of twirling colors, shapes, and sometimes faces, numbers or eyes. Often I feel a vibrational sensation throughout my body that reminds me of an electrical impulse. I think there is some significance in the concept of chakras, but I think there is another explanation for them other than the ancient practice.
Chakras are power centers throughout your body, that supposedly control different processes For example, your throat chakra, or Visuddha, cause you to feel like there’s a “frog in your throat” when you’re nervous. When you feel a surge of excitement and your heart skips a beat, this is your heart chakra or Anahata.
What I think is fascinating is that quantum mechanics has established that our bodies are made up of electromagnetic energy. So we know that our bodies are in fact light and energy. Could it be possible that we are becoming able to close our eyes and assess our chakras (electromagnetic energy)?
I think the fascinating theory about a quantum leap in consciousness that seems to be increasingly relevant as scientists have moved away from the empirical evidence being the absolute reality and are moving towards the possibility of the universe being much more phenomenal than we thought.
I started to feel such kind of pressure in the middle of my head. But my explanation for my condition is that I can’t be in a peaceful and comfortable place for a long time so that’s just nerves trying to give me a headache when I just don’t breathe right.
@cheeky, Haha, I feel it but the only time I saw them when my eyes were open was when I first meditated and opened my eyes the night I was tripping. By the was the same night I was on my friends roof laying down staring at the start and if i stared at them long enough it looked like they were right in front of my eyes.
I actually had an ESP experience as well when I essentially “awakened” it was of me telepathically speaking to someone simply by emotionally speaking. Really its not simple but i asked a question and the person answered. I knew then that the mind had more power than what i thought before hand.
@skaterat614, That’s interesting. I’m always a little bit skeptical about when hallucinogenic drugs are brought into the equation, because there is always the possibility that these drugs give you a distinct form of Hallucinogenic Persisting Perception Disorder, but that still sounds pretty cool. I wish I could say I’ve had similar experiences, but from my experience with shrooms, acid, dmt, and such, I’m not a visual tripper. I’ve never had visuals on a drug, it’s all a head trip. So the only visuals I’ve ever had are these energy things while sober. However, I should mention that for me MDMA caused a psychic experience. While on it was the first time I ever saw energy, then the next day it was even stronger. I’ve read reports of people saying that MDMA can awaken kundalini energy artificially, so maybe it’s that. Or maybe I’m insane, I still haven’t fully decided :p
@cheeky, ah! what monster? some kind of entity?
That sensation does mean something. If you can meditate every single day, and feel the vibration or pressure in that area, and do the exercises in the book below, you will develop the ability to “see” energy. I can see it, but I never tell people, because they don’t believe me and they think less of me. Hell, I almost don’t believe it, because I’d always been such a snide, atheistic, scientific individual growing up. But I had an…awakening last year. To the haters, don’t deny it until you try it. Stranger things, really…
@snaysler, I not sure, I don’t that it is a “fallucinogenic persisting perception disorder” for the fact that it only happens about five minutes deep in my meditation and I would most likely be seeing the geometric patterns that I see when I am tripping. What have you tripped on? And how much? because the visuals you get are not likely to be something popping out of nowhere but more like distortion and constant movement in thing that don’t usually seem to move.
