I was about 13 or so and at my cousin’s house up in michigan. (USA). We were playing capture the flag at night. We had one team member on each team with a flashlight that patrolled the border between the two teams.

Well, my cousin nick shined a flashlight into my eyes, and when i turned away, I could see something I could only describe as thermal vision! My other cousin, who was hiding behind a tree in pitch blackness and was wearing black, was completely highlighted in red and yellow. It faded shortly after and when it did, I thought it was just an eye trick that i did see him and that he really wasn’t there… but when i looked again he really was peeking out from behind the tree! It was a weird experience.
Any ideas of what caused this?

Have you ever fallen in a barrel of radiation? That may explain it. Haha, just joking. That’s a strange experience. Very cool if you ask me.

has to do with reaction of the eye and light reflecting. similar things can be achieved looking into a photographic flasher in the dark, you will be able to shortly see other waveleghts as your eyes reset.. Do not know all technical terms and stuffs but read about in when looking for info on hallucinations….

Able to see other wavelengths? :O That sounds awesome. I swear I was seeing thermal… lol. But only for people. I’m thinking maybe what Robert was saying, who knows. lol.

Vision is what your brain translates from light hitting your eyes…. there are some really cool articles to be found, will try to look up some and post here.
Besides that there are many things the brain is capable of, the unlocking of this capabilities… thats what i wish to learn, more and more…

Same here Syn. I have been fascinated with it for a long time. That is what my friends and I thought, that my brain picked up something different. :) just for a moment though, I wish I could do that ALL the time.

Another one: I was sitting in my room about to turn on the computer. I zoned out (Like I often do) and next thing I know I felt this wave of… hell I don’t know, but I felt pushed out of my body and felt like I touched everything that was in front of me, then i snapped back… I spent the next few minutes touching everything on my computer stand, astonished that I felt all those textures like that… OBE? O_o

dude your going nutso hahahah! If you’re interested in how your brain interacts with the world(is your brain you? talked about that in philosophy class) you should look into cognitive psychology. Its crazy Ass SHIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!!!!!

I believe that the brain is partly you. It is more of the conveyor for your spirit, which is your emotions, thoughts, ideas etc.
