Everyone has basically covered it, but I wanted to add.. That I love dancing because it is a way to physically show the music, and express yourself. |

@ Josy Dancing is definitely a part of music, or another form of music, the translation of sound into movements, I have to admit I am a terrible dancer, but I do enjoy the feeling of freedom when lurching and shaking to some nasty grooves, of dancing slowly with someone brave enough to risk their limbs. |

I think music defies who you are. There are so many different types of music out there and so many different bands. It’s the ones that can bring out your emotions that catch my attention and that’s because music has a deep spiritual meaning to me and I use it for either pushing anger out or removing the tears from my eyes. It gives me a feeling of comfort no matter the genre and that’s what I love most about music. I try to express myself through music but I haven’t yet grasped the sound I wanna use. I write down words that I just sing out loud of nowhere. Music is just something that is a part of me, inside me, and all around me. I find it when I’m driving my car or washing the dishes, where ever I go it always follows. The sounds are all around find the peace of sounds around. |

For me, music isn’t something in the background of my life. Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of just plain sitting still and listening, and I think I appreciate it much more because of that. Also, one of the reasons humans are so drawn to music is because (most of) it is very similar to the preferred styles of rhetoric. Themes are introduced, developed, and concluded. Stories are told. And it’s absolutely awe-inspiring to watch a virtuoso play. |

Music is a connection that is made with the world. An inspiration of words and music. It can make you think about something in a way you never thought about before. It makes us look at our life when we hear the lyrics that came from another person’s story that they have written down for the world to listen to. Music has come so far in so little time. |

I edit videos to music…I “vid” and that is using clips from tv shows and movies to make music videos. I’ve started four years ago and it’s completely changed my life. Here’s one of my favorites that I have edited… http://youtu.be/gHkPhSUVmyw |

Music to me is an expression of freedom, an emotion inducer and an association of past memories. As a filmmaker I find music as one of the most, if not most, important part of a finished film. Music in a film translates the film into much more than it is without it. It can tell a story and impact a scene in any way you want to convey. I write and write for hours while I listen to music because it does nothing but inspire me to add on to the emotion it brings. |

Music fixes moods for me. If I’m feeling depressed, I know which songs to play to help rationalize my situation, and the which ones to follow up with to help me become happy again. Of course, this site is helping me eliminate those bits of depression altogether! |

Music to me is… emotion, passion, ecstasy, love. It is a feeling to me, like the feeling you get when you are with people you love. Improvisation is a huge part of music to me, it lets me portray feeling and emotion with in the moment. Music can be a psychedelic experience for me, being in the moment of making music is where I feel most calm and natural. Being able to make music and just jam with fellow human beings is the greatest thing in the world to me. |

As strange as it sounds, music has become a part of my sight. Discovering that along with perfect pitch, I have synesthesia (seeing certain things with certain pitches). I choose playlists that fit whatever color I feel that my day should be. Music is a huge part of my everyday life and always has been. I’ve been playing piano since I was three and percussion since I was eleven, and the community of percussionists has easily become my second family. So to me, music means a whole lot. Community, sight, passion, emotion, and a fun pastime. |

Expressing that which can’t be expressed in words. Plus, it’s a great way to remember and mark all the times you’ve had- good or bad, there’s always a song you’ll remember from that moment. |
