What the F**k did you do today?
I’ve seen on several discussions that people think that we’re just talking on this site, and no action is coming out of it. Quite frankly, we are doing quite a bit of talking (over 200 pages of different discussions), but I’m not sure what anyone else is doing out there in the real world, besides, of course, what I do myself.
So…my question for you today is:
What have you done today that makes this world a better place, or makes you a better person?

I work at the front desk of a hotel. So I pretty much just checked people into there rooms all day. What I did to make the world a better place was that I donated to some heart association some kids walked in and asked for a donation and I was the only one that donated.
oh Ka man, that is the sweetest thing ive read in a long time. that is just plain awesome.

Very little. Been getting sicker and sicker all week, finally skipped school today. Slept till 2, then went on the comp and played some video games.
Tonight, am probably going to start writing my Instructable, and my girl may come over for a bit.
i will tell about yesterday. since i just woke up today and said goodbye to my son who left for school. im staying with him this week to cheer him up and give him some support before his major big exams. so being in the big city which im usually not…
i took my bichon to the dog parlor and got him fluffed up. he looks like a huge little white walking bear. and i bought some vintage white sunglasses and i strudded around in this ghetto area of Toulouse and tryed to make people smile or even laf. but no one would look at us. or they pretended not to. everyone walking home from work looked so fed up so glum.
it is strange for me who lives in the countryside and never sees people.
im happy to see what everyone is doing. our daily lives dont seem so exciting but i guess each moment makes a difference. just a smile can help the whole world at this point!
I donate money only to street musicians. Word. I usually even give them more than half that it’s in my pocket, so I could know exactly how much money I need. (Brilliant squanderer) and I usually have a bunch of inspiration from everywhere.
I think I’m gonna cheer ya’ll HIGH EXISTENCE minions. Live high.
Thanks for your replies guys!
I’ve spent this entire day being really, really happy! It’s the first full day of spring here (if you ignore the calendar for these things like I do), and I spent the entire day smiling and in the afternoon after class I just sat in the quad overlooking the Charles River. It was nice to just sit in the sun and do nothing. Now I’m doing homework, but the windows are open and the spring air smells wonderful. Speaking of which, I also helped a friend of mine with homework this morning. But it’s only 4:49pm here…time to do more stuff!
Learned about the United States Healthcare system in class. Picked holes in current and future policies.
Worked 8 hours – fixing peoples phones and computers.
Now writing a paper about Africa pre/post colonialism.
…..interesting typing this up. I thought my day was boring – now I think it sounds kindof bad ass. Thanks!
I sleep the whole day and work during the night, while checking HE. It’s usually a complicated writing that has nothing to do with philosophy and it’s so fucking weird that I’m not sure I’m going to share everything I’ve written. Some things are usually better kept secret. Now, I don’t think that making the world a better place is convenient, because It’s already a good place to live if you aren’t too needy. So, try to make your place a better world.
I miss making music. I have to study bullshit.
made my “surrogate mother’s” day by visiting her salon, gave a friend advice on money spending habits, educated a friend about autism meditated in a cold shower(about to do so) made my english professor laugh, asked my algebra professor how he was doing, for the first time this semester (nobody had done so)
today was a good day
EDIT: and I also gained an appreciation for another culture’s take on our music
Donated a loan to a third-world entrepreneur! Check out Kiva.org, its pretty awesome. Instead of giving away $25 and never seeing it again, you get to re-lend it to someone else after the first person pays you back.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime.
